Aren't Shuma-Agomotto-Cthton-Ancient One all Old Ones/Elder Gods? To be honest, Marvel probably keeps them purposely obscure since a lot of these characters are ripoffs of Lovecraft creations.

yes, this is very true, but to a full-power spectre, shazam would have been no match (i dont think anyone would)

If your referring to the Spectre fight - wasn't Spectre pretty weak and out of favor with the presence at the time? I don't see Shazam as being higher than any of the Elder Gods / Old Ones. Any higher and Shazam is practically be a universal abstract.
