So basically if you're not Christian, our all loving God makes you a victim of his wrath. That's nice.

Well, it's more of a "if you don't ask Christ for forgiveness--the very Son of God who came to Earth and suffered a horrific death, taking all the sins of the human race, pas and present, onto his shoulders as he sagged, nailed to the cross--then God just might be a little teed off".
