Not this year. Korver has done nothing this year. And even when he's doing really good, the ball should still be in AI's hands.

hes had some good games... but i wouldnt give the ball to a second or third year man in the dying seconds of a game... unless its someone whos made a big impact on their team... ie bosh, wade, lebron, carmelo etc...

Who is the best curent NBA player?

you know my opinion... and dont respond to it, just name your own.

so why not just name your favourite clutch players of all time? name your top 10...

i say.....reggie miller, chauncey billups, michael jordan, kobe bryant (although i hate em i gotta admit), vince carter ( i know ull hate on him so ill remind you that even with the raptors he made two 3 point buzzer beating game winners in the same week and many more clutch shots afterwards, including the ones after his trade, the shot at the buzzer against miami to force the game into OT., and OFCOURSE the game winning 3 pointer with 0.1 seconds remaining against his former team, the raptors.), jerry west a.k.a mr. clutch, larry bird, tracy mcgrady ( his performance against the spurs last season, and more..) , robert horry a.k.a. big shot rob, and...i cant think of the last one so ill say derek fisher( i know theres much better) , because of his shot against the spurs in the playoffs with 0.4 seconds to inbound.

Kobe is playing like he is the best currently, but all around I'd say LeBron then Kevin Garnett.

Vince Carter clutch?

Hahahaha.... too bad he wasnt clutch enough to hit that jumper to beat Philly in the game 7 to advanced to the conference finals. But its okay, hitting important shots fail to compare to hitting clutch shots during regular season games... especially against the powerhouse of the Toronto Raptors.

true about carter... but he MAY have hit that shot had he not gone to graduation. he may not have been so tired from travelling a had a bit more energy for the game itself.... i wont dwell on it though, i was estatic my raps got that far. at then end of the day if it werent for vince we wouldnt have done so well back then... and if it werent for vince we'd still be there now

I know Carter is your favourite player tanjot but i find it hard to believe you'd think he was the best.
I'd go with KG in terms of all around skill, he can just do everything. He can take you off the dribble, post up, shoot the outside jumper, he rebounds like a crazy man, is an elite defender, passes like a guard and gives his all every game. You cant ask for a more complete package.
In terms of scoring you have to go with Kobe. He can score from anywhere on the floor in any way imaginable. Other great scorers in the league have weaknesses but Kobe has none that i can think of when it comes to scoring.
If i was going to build a team around someone it would be LeBron, mainly because of his potential. Its scary to think of where he could be in another 5 yrs if he keeps working on his weaknesses.
I could go on but this will probably be closed soon and we will be told to use the NBA thread.

Paul Pierce or....Ron Ron. 😍

If Wade was a little better at 3's, then I would pick him. But hey, he doesn't need 3's to be great.

I don't know who I would pick.

i've noticed that tony parkers been penetrating just as well as dwayne wade.... but because he doesnt finish as empthatically as wade... he doesnt get quite the same recognition... and why is he penetrating better than he ever has? eva longoria perhaps? 😆

ill say Robert Horry, Reggie, MJ, Mario Elie (2 consecutive years against Phoenix), T-Mac, Van Exel, Bird, Mr. Clutch, i go ahead and say Fisher too, and Hakeem Olajuwon.

what about stockton? he hit a huuuge shot over the rockets during one of their finals years... 98 i think. hes made other game winners too. pity about the tight shorts though 😑

in my opinion, d wade is overcredited and slightly overrated. people dont realize how much more easier shaq makes the game for him...and people r always shoving his assists in my face...but uh...i dont think its hard to just throw the ball up about atleast 5 times a game knowing that he will dunk it down giving you the assist. also..he gets a lot of dunks and open layups because of shaq which many people also do not realize. same goes for fg% and free throw attempts. well, ill give em the free throw attempts but everything else would go down if not for shaq.

vince made plenty of shots to get us there in the first place, the raptors begin and end with vince carter as far as winning goes.. that shows how valuable a player he is...and its the same with new jersey, they begin and end with vince carter, hes playing good basketball, much more often than not they win, when hes not or he is not playing at all, they lose. i understand that you hate carter, and yes if i were in his place i would have had the guts to stand up to my mother and say, graduation can wait, whats most important to me now is my team...but unfortunately he didnt, and he wasted a lot of energy a lot the way. the point is, you either make it or you dont, more often than not you know vince will make the shot to win the game, to tie the game, and many clutch shots to bring his team back into the game, no matter how good or bad a team it is. im surprised at you laughing at my opinion of vince being a clutch player, even if you hate em you must admit he has been a clutch player throughout his career.

Seeing as nobody has mentioned the Lakers beating the champs on their own floor let me be the first. I havent seen my guys put together a focused, composed and aggressive performance like that in years. Odom, Kwame, Smush even Luke Walton had great games to back up #8. I hope they continue playing with this type of intensity that has enabled us to beat the Pistons and Spurs in the space of a week, if they do they will make the playoffs.

GO LAKERS!!! 💃 😮‍💨 💃

But then again, also 'in your opinion', Vince Carter is the best player. So I don't take your opinion seriously most of the time.

And people were saying the same thing for Kobe. That Shaq made him who he is. But now look at Kobe.

I think Wade would be just as great as he is, with or without Shaq.

merging with the nba discussion

what people do forget about wade is the playoffs in his rookie year... he was doing what hes doing now almost as well... but with no shaq... so i dont think shaq the overall reason for wade being that good. its simply wade is a good player. vince aint bad in the clutch... but hes not one of the better of nba history. you have to say mj, reggie, magic, bird, stockton, and probably a load of others i'm tired to think of(i'd say larry joshnson for the 4point play against the pacers😄... but i dont think he did much else clutch wise! awesome player before back injury though)

oh kool... maybe its just me... but if smush has a good game.. the lakers do well... and have you seen flea from the chillis b;og on the nba blog squad? seeing as ur a laker fan you wanna check it out!
