I actually have always liked Steve Nash, I just think he is overcreditted with the Suns' success.

i think it is because he is canadian that you have more reason not to "credit" him??? like you have claimed b4 canadians are known to go crazy over little things like steve nash winning the mvp last season.

I don't care that he is Canadian. I don't hold that against him at all. Hell, I'm a white man. If anything I should be rooting for him hardcore. And I don't blame Nash for his Canadian fans thinking he is Godly.

wat does skin colour have to do with being a fan of a player? just because theres a few decent white men in the league doesnt mean you should have to root for them.

tony parker is being underrated this season, i've mentioned elsewhere hes been one of the best slashers of the season, but billups deserves mvp far more than parker. i dont even know if kobe deserves it... to be honest i havent seen one player in particular deserve the mvp this year. if it was my choice? chris paul. wat hes done is amazing. rookie season yet hes kept the much nonfancied hornets up in the playoff hunt with a mediocre team. some credit too must be given to west, hes one of the most underrated players of the year so far.

oh and regarding vince... i was and am still a fan of his. hes a tremendous talent in this league... but tanjot, you're so up his ass we may need to cut vinces chest open to retrieve you. i read an article on him in slam, back in the north carolina days when him and antawn were tearing it up. when i heard the raps drafted antawn, i was happy... when i heard they traded him away... i was gutted... but when i heard it was for vince? i was elated. i had a feeling he had the potential to become a really good player, possibly even a franchise player.

but you know what? looking back, i wish we had kept antawn. hes a good, solid player who does it all. yeah vince got us to a higher level of basketball... but what does that count if we go from a promising young team with a franchise player, to a mediocre team all because vinces ego got too inflated. tanjot, i can hoenstly see why you like vince so much

hes exciting to watch, plays good ball, solid enough d, exciting dunks and some crazy shots... but you really are overrating him. i'm getting so fed up of hearing both sides of the argument i dont wanna visit this thread anymore. can both sides just end this now and get back to normality? tanjot, this is no personal vendetta against you because you love vince, its good you look up2 the guy...

yes i'm thankful for what vince did while he was in toronto. but all that love and thanks went out the window when left the way he did. if he were a real man he woulda just played 110% until his contract expired. if only the raps gm got a decent deal, maybe i wouldnbt be quite so bitter.... and the fact they traded him to another eastern team? stupid. anyway... i hope this debate about vince being good/bad can stop.

I know that. Tanjot was accusing me of being prejudice. I was just saying that if anything my prejudiceness is more in favor of Canadians than blacks. However, I do not discriminate and I simply think the MVP should go to whoever I feel deserves it no matter what race or nationality.

And thats is honorable of you.

Darth, thats why Babcock aint the GM anymore.

Sorry Koolz but Mamba got ROWNED! 😎

That was an awesome game by both sides.

😆 As soon as i saw your name by the last post when i logged on i knew i'd have to eat a shit sandwich.
The Lakers just fell apart in the 4th, for some reason they went away from Odom who couldnt miss in the 1st half. Kobe has been off for 3 straight games now, i hope he can pull himself out of it. If he cant find his rhythm then the Lakeshow may not make the playoffs. Phil Jacksons rotations continue to baffle me, i guess when you've got 9 rings nobody questions you but i am often left scratching my head. Chris Mihms ankle injury is a tough loss for us to, he has quietly been one of our most consistent players and one of the few that can give you points when you throw the ball into the post. Hopefully Odom can get the ball more in the post now where he is most affective.
The Kings are smokin though Dr, i think i remember hearing that they are undefeated at home since Ron has joined them. He has really toughened them up and Arco is a hard place to win again. If Artest stays with the Kings long term we have a great rivalry to look forward to Dr, just like the old days. We meet again at Staples next week.
😈

I actually watched a little bit of an NBA game today! I never watch NBA games during March Maddness, but since there was only 4 minutes left and it was close I watched it. The Heat win again, and Wade is great again.

I'm excited to hear the Wade for MVP talks. I still think Dirk deserves it more than anybody right now, but of all the MVP candidates, Wade is also the best defender. I'd love to see Wade get MVP 🙂

Toyota 1 on 1 contest (NBA)

Did anybody hear about the Toyota 1on1 sweepstakes? it seems like they are giving out some pretty heavy prizes from like Carmelo Anthony, Marc Ecko and Jermaine Dupri! check it out: toyota1on1.com/entry.asp - I hope I win a dinner with Marc Ecko, hes clothing line is 100 percent my favorite 🙂

Nash is better than Carter.

again, WOW. this is one of those posts i look at and laugh...ur not including everything, so y ru telling me to?? vince didnt have the talented supporting cast on his team in his early years that wade does his...wade has shaq, thats enough said already...and he has a great veteran and a former defensive player of the year in gary payton to teach him, who did vince have in his early years? antonio davis? michael curry? who?? i want to see you answer that one. and did you forget the shot he made against miami last year in the "PLAYOFFS" at the BUZZER?? well i dont know about you, but i know thats clutch. he made a 3 pointer at the buzzer to beat his former team by 1 point...you dont think thats clutch?? well then, you keep saying whatever the **** you wanna say...i understand that half the world hates vince, i thought only canada hated him, or maybe its just the people in these threads, either way...i want you to explain to me y you think he is a crybaby or whatever you say he is, he has not gone down with any serious injuries after his trade, and when he has gotten injured he has ALWAYS made a strong attempt to play through them.

i never said Carter had a strong supportin cast, thats why i compared him to Wade genius.....you call eddie jones, brian grant and caron butler a good supporting cast?!.....if you paid attention to my post you would know i was referring to Wade's 1st year in the league which he was overshadowed by Lebron and Anthony until the playoffs when Wade ripped loose with this allmighty cast of Caron Butler, Lamar Odam, Eddie Jones, and Brian Grant, yea, reeeaaal supportive cast there.....You talk like Carter is Jordan, no great player starts off with a supporting cast but they don't use that as a crutch like you do with a Carter.....he's a crybaby because in toronto he would never take it to the hole, and with his athleticism, his teammates would question his heart because of this, his teammates and coaches would tell him to drive the ball and he would respond by crying that he would get hammered by being fouled, this is why i referred D-Wade in my last post, he's not afraid of contact, crybaby carter is or was(haven't watched him much in NJ)...are there different Vince Carters? because we must not be thinking of the same one, he had a knee injury in Toronto and he took more games off them necessary because he wanted to make sure he was 100% even tho the doctors cleared him and his team needed him at the time, yea, thats a real strong attempt to come back from injury there, he gets more time off while players like Iverson play through every ****in injury they have...WOW!!...look at that, Carter made a buzzer shot to beat miami in the playoffs, last year, and he beat his old team with a 3, and he had that shot in the playoffs in the playoffs with toronto, wow 3 buzzer beating shots, and two in the playoffs....hmmm 3 buzzer beaters, can you count how many jordan has had, or reggie miller, or jerry west, or any other real cluth player, you remember mark price? i doubt it unless you google him, well he had 3 or 4 buzzer beaters in his career and most in the playoffs and i wouldnt exactly call him clutch, same with john paxson, now i answered your questions, so why dont you answer mine, What makes Vince Carter so great that you have to talk about him every chance you get?

And yet, Iverson refuses to play because he doesn't start, oh and by the way, jordan over ehlo, and miller had about 4 or 5, even Iverson has two.

so...you wanna talk about d-wade in his first year..so then y not talk about vince in his first year?? vince won the rookie of the year with what you know was obviously not a good supporting cast, averaging 18ppg and the only rookie to lead his team in scoring, getting over 90% of the votes for rookie of the year. i know you will say that wade was up against mello and lebron in his rookie year, but thats life. i "know" that if shaq were not in miami, wade's scoring average, fg %, free throw attempts, and assists would be much lower, and he would have half as many top 10 plays as he has now. now last year, without rj in the lineup vince still averaged 27.5ppg as a net. this season he is averaging 24 with him in the lineup because obviously rj gets his share of points. 27.5ppg to 24ppg is not a big difference which shows vince can get it done on his own, and vince has not had the opportunity to show he can play well without j-kidd because he has not been injured, but i assure you he can. peja stajokavic is like dwayne wade, he needs a good supporting cast to be able to play well and have noticeable stats. peja averaged 24ppg when divac, c-webb, and mike bibby were around him..when divac and c-webb left his scoring averaged dropped to 18ppg. the same will happen with wade which you will see one day once shaq retires. if it does not then you can laugh in my face for as long as you want and i wont complain.

Peja is like Wade HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

Alright for one thing Peja was at his best when Divac and Miller (two pass-first big men) were in the starting lineup which made his job extremely easy. When Webber came back he was never the same since Web demanded the ball. Unlike Wade, Peja has no balls to actually develop other ways to score and pretty much slacked it until he got traded.

Just to shut you up. When Shaq was out for most of November Wade averaged: 25 ppg, 7 Assists, 7 boards on 44 percent shooting. Not exactly a huge drop off from his season average I would say.

ok idiot, i did not say he is like wade as far as how good of a player he is...what i meant was he needs a good supporting cast around him to be more effective...and like you said he shot 44%, which is what i guessed he would shoot without him..and would you also tell me what miami's W/L record was during november?? for one..they gave the RAPTORS their ONLY WIN in that month, that says a lot about what miami can do without shaq in the lineup.
