lol. ok. not it is not...but i will say this much, the heat would not have as good as a record without shaq in the lineup. if its only wade, gp, zo, walker, and udonis haslem then i say the heat are one of the lower seeds in the playoffs...5th, 6th, probably not 7th or 8th.

you know the heat were without shaq for like, half the season last year, and during that time the heat still dominated there division....so...yeaaahh....tomorrow is hawaiian shirt day, so if you have one of those, you might want to wear it

Well you dont need to be a rocket scientist to work that one out. But your point originally was that Wade couldnt lead the Heat to the playoffs without Shaq, how did that work out for you?

well who in the heats division would take over them? the nearest team is washington... and i dont think the heat would drop that many games without shaq. maybe 5 less wins? thats still 40 wins or thereabout, more than new jersey, cleveland or washington. they're still second seeds for me. indiana without the injuries and artest drama mite have been however.

new jersey may not have the best record in the east, but the have proven they can beat the top teams in the east such as detroit who they have beaten once at home..miami who they have beaten twice, once in miami and once at home...and cleveland who they have beaten twice, once in cleveland and once at home. so the regular season does not matter if you cannot go far in the playoffs, a fair example of that (bcz they got far in the playoffs) was phoenix, who had the best record in the league last season but did not make it past the western conference finals when they lost to the spurs who went on to win the championship. new jersey did lose to san antonio but it was a verry close game to the last touch..so im pretty sure this year's finals matchup will be either new jersey and san antonio or once again.. detroit and san antonio. new jersey still has room to improve though so i say if they make the finals the spurs win it in game 6. new jersey fans have a lot to look for-for this season and the next.

cant say how it worked out for me, because i have not had the opportunity to prove my point and neither have you...so we will have to wait unil shaq does not play for the entire season with the miami heat..till then we will continue to state theory and opinion.

Wade led the Heat to the playoffs in his rookie year, with a much weaker roster than he has now. Wade is a much better player now and he has a loaded roster. What further evidence do you need?
Do you really think the Nets are good enough to make the finals? I cant see them beating the Heat or the Pistons in a 7 game series, the Cavs would give them a good series especially if Hughes makes it back for the post season.

New Jersey is pretty good and they have a chance of making it to the finals (3rd or 4th best depending on if LeBron takes over in the playoffs), but I wouldn't get my hopes up just yet tanjot. They still have a long way to be in the league of Spurs, Pistons, Mavs, Suns, and the Heat. I would classify the Nets as a 2nd tier team along with Cavs, Clippers, Denver and Memphis. However, the Nets generally seemed to have played to their potential all year, while the Clippers showed at the beginning of the season that they can be better than they are now and Cavs obviously have not played to their potential.

The Nets are very weak up front and have an invisible bench. If they can avoid the Heat and Pistons they may get to the Conference Finals but after that their weaknesses will be exposed in a 7 game series. If they could acquire a solid rebounder a shot blocker and a shooter off the bench (in the offseason) then they would challenge the top 2 in the east, until then i cant see it. They would look pretty good now if they'd kept K-Mart and Kittles to go along with their big 3 (hypothetically of course).

the nets have lamond murray coming off the bench who is a solid jumpshooter who can shoot mid range and long range...and up front they are weak but they have a very good defensive player in jason collins and nenad krstic who is not as highly recognized and credited as she should be because of the popularity of the big three..richard jefferson, jason kidd, and vince carter. nenad krstic is a decent offensive player that is yet to reach his potential, because afterall he is only a sophomore who is averaging 12ppg, and 7rpg.

Did you just call Kristic a "she"? lol.
Seriously though i like his game, he has a good face up shot and he grabs more boards than you would expect. Collins might be a decent defender but to go far in the playoffs you need either great perimeter defenders or a good shot blocker, the Nets have neither. While Murray is an ok shooter i wouldnt bet the house on him being a difference maker in the post season.
Im not knocking your team dude, i like the Nets. Im just pointing out why i dont think they will get to the conference finals let alone the championship finals.
Wow it was nice to finally have a normal conversation with you about hoops tanjot, we should do this more often.
😄

I like Uncle Cliffy. As old as he is, the man can still defend quite nicely. But, the Nets overall still lack depth and Krstic is decent, but he will has to go against Shaq/Zo, and Wallaces/McDyess to get to the finals.

Exactly my point, no real inside presence.

ok..so they have no inside presence..but with richard jefferson and vince carter they have good inside outside players and amazing finishers, with jason kidd to lead them with his great court vision, amazing passes. the nets probably will go for big men with their next few draft picks although it is obvious they will not be high picks, but if they get lucky and get another nenad krstic type player but with more size..they will be on of the top 2 teams in the league without a doubt. whether they do or do not have size has not affected them in a huge way, they are guaranteed to make it to the playoffs and past the first round in many analysts and my opinion. as it stands right now, the nets would be facing the bucks in the first round...nothing to worry about there. vince dropped 45 on them right after the all star break, although he could have had 52 had he made all his free throws..anyways, the point is that i think that if they face miami, milwaukee, or cleveland in the first round they are sure to win whether it takes them 4 games or 7...against detroit i say it will go to a game 7 and what happens then is yet to be seen. if they do make it to the finals i say they lose to san antonio who makes it to the finals again in make 5 or 6 because they have the advantage matchup wise in terms of size, with tim duncan who will not be stopped by neither krstic nor collins. with the spurs sending double teams at vince i doubt richard jefferson or jason kidd will be able to create anything by themselves throughout the 7 game series. as for the lakers, they may make the playoffs but it is evident they probably will not get far.

lol. that was a typo....and i remember lamond murray catching fire against the spurs in a comeback win in the fourth quarter from a 20 point deposoit last season with the raptors. history could repeat itself. do not underestimate lamond murray..he has a great jump shot, it just takes him a lot of time to get it going...if he catches fire..watch out!!

I find it odd that you think so much higher of Spurs than Pistons. If the Nets get past the Pistons that means they are obviously going to be on a roll and could give the Spurs a hard match. However, thats IF they get past Pistons which I highly doubt. I'd say Nets would be lucky to make it to game 6 against the Pistons. Heat? You never can tell when they will fold up or just dominate.

I think playoff basketball will not be kind to the Nets. Once its slows down into a half court game, the Nets big three are not as effective. They will definitely get past the Bucks if that is who they draw in the 1st round but i cant see them winning a series against proven half court teams like Miami and Detroit.
IF the Lakers make the post season it will probably be a short run. Kobe is a great weapon to have at playoff time and Odom is putting up all star numbers at the moment, but they have too many youngsters to do some real damage.

Did the Kings play tonight Dr? 😈

The Nets chances of beating the Pistons in the playoffs are about the same chances of me growing an afro afro2

i think teh nets could have trouble against the bucks.... they have bogut and magloire, who, while may not be the greatest inside threats are easily going to contend with kristic and the ageing c-rob, plus redd, ford and simmons matchup well to vince jefferson and kidd... nets have an edge but it wont be easy for them. they have beaten them twice already so they are favourites...

but i seriously dont think they have a chance against the pistons or heat. shaq will have his wicked way with them, and teh pstoins guards are good enough to take on the nets counterparts. while kidd is an incredible point gaurd he is slowing down slightly, and i think billups is the better of the two. rip and vince? vince has the edge here, but the pistons may put tayshaun on vince which will make it difficult for vc. should be some good playoff action though

just wanna mention andre miller... the guys one underrated point gaurd.

I just found this out last night. Carmelo Anthony has 5 or 6 game winning shots THIS year. That is crazy. Jordan only had 12 his WHOLE career.

I was watching the Spurs/Nuggets game last night and he was lighting up Bowen. With all the attention of Wade and Bron everyone seems to have forgotten about Melo and it seems to have helped him being out of the spotlight.
