cheers rza... just thought it would be good to go to the states and actually meet one or two of you. get tanjot down for a drinking session methinks😉

I believe tanjot is underage here in the states (like that stops anybody 😉 )

I will answer your question: NO! 😆

Seriously though, I'm going to keep internet peeps separate from my real life. No offense.

Anyway, I am so pumped for tonight. I'm just hoping for a good series since I'm cool (this is rare) with either team winning. Though I'm still leaning towards wanting Dallas to win.

haha no worries man... i wasnt on about you though anyways 😛

nah no probs. just a suggestion

BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

I'm surprised how quick Haslem is. He played Dirk better than anyone has in the playoffs. If he can stay out of foul trouble, he'll make Dirk work for his points big time.

Nice showing by Shaq at the line: 1-9. If you count those two lane violations he is actually 1-11. Pathetic.

The key to this series might be Miami's turnover problems. Whenever they cut down on their turnovers, they are nearly unbeatable.

Gotta give much props to JT for this win, without him having such a strong showing in this game the Mavs wouldn't of had a chance. I really felt embarrassed for him when he missed that wide open layup 😮 especially after making 2 str8 3's.

Shaq was pathetic from the line as expected but also got most of the calls which was also expected. I expect him to get even more calls at home. That block on him by Howard was all ball. Also, look for his fat ass to take out some more of our players as the series continues. Gotta give props to Stack broken nose and all and he still hung in there.

Anyway, if I'm a Heat fan I'm pretty worried considering my team shot 70% in the 1st qrt and Dirk and Howard were like 7 for 28 from the field and they still lost. Dirk and Howard are gonna have to pick up offensively in the next game if they wanna win, they can't expect Terry to carry them every game.

I was pretty disappointed by that game. I wanted it closer. Not only that, but I want Dirk to shine now that he's on the big stage. I wouldn't want to see Terry get the MVP. In fact, I won't be happy unless Dirk or Wade get MVP. But this is just game 1. Hopefully Heat makes this a series.

I thought it was a great start to the finals, and not just because the Mavs won.
Haslem as Dr pointed out was stellar d'ing up Dirk, he made him work for everything and played excellent denial defense in stretches. Wade was his usual self but i think tried to drive too much late in the game, he has been shooting the mid range jumper well in the playoffs and by the 4th quarter the Mavs were clogging the lane.
Terry was incredible, he is fearless. He was one of the few Mavs who didnt look intimidated in the first quarter.
Im honestly really liking this Mavs team, they have so many players that can contribute. I think they are the deepest team in the league. I'd never seen Griffin play before and he was a big help on both ends. They also have Armstrong who didnt play but can light it up from deep if they need some instant offense and is quick enough to bother Wade on defense (by bother i obviously dont mean stop).
Dirks shot will start to fall once he figures Haslem out, he had trouble with Bowen to but found out a way to get his points. I feel he needs to post Haslem up down low more instead of catching the ball out by the free throw line extended. Dirk has such a height advantage and he releases the ball so high that Haslem would be helpless if he takes him down low.
Anyway the next game should be interesting, seeing what adjustments are made and such. Shaq has got to shoot better from the line, that was inexcusable even for him. Maybe he should lay off the burgers and spend that time practising them, shoot them underhanded if you have to but do something.

its good to see stack getting in the finals, hes finally taken a backseat to other players on a team instead of being THE man, and its paying off for him. he could make a difference, hes still a fairly formidable offensive player.

jason terry was awesome, cept that layup. he'll be let off though. theres no doubting that shaq had a bad day on the free throw line... he could have done with hitting a few more of those to keep it tighter. wade was good, solid as always. one thing i didnt get... a few plays that i saw had jason williams defending dirk... which resulted in a couple of threes shot straight over j-will. sense? not think so.

good first game though, just how i wanted it to go. and dirk i hopes does show up more, it would be awesome to see him get mvp when the mavs win😛

So I guess when you have 3 rings and good credintials its ok to do whatever you please....like quit on your team, hire someone to take over that team you quit on, than when that persons rights the wrong, you go ahead and take over again ...what the hell is Phill Jackson doing coaching the Lakers, with his Rings and Credintials he should be commissionary of the NBA...look out David Stern

Yea, he should be. But you missed my point completely. Just because he did some stupid shit off the court doesn't make him a bad coach, he still has 3 rings and most playoff games. You don't get to that point by being a bad coach. Riley is an excellent coach. That's not to say Johnson isn't either, Coach of the Year isn't something to be brushed off, but he doesn't have Riley's coaching experience, and that is a big factor, whether people believe it or not.

Oh yeah I forgot about that lay-up. He air-balled it! 😆

Didn't matter anyway though.

im all dallas for the championship...i dont care how dallas wins it, but as long as miami goes home dissapointed...im happy. dirk for mvp, and compared to his ability and what he has done so far in the finals- shaq for lvp. 1-9ft!!! comeone u gotta shoot atleast 40%, even 30%, but 1-9ft is just awful.

Pedophile alert 😘 .

its strange how people who often think that way turn out to be the people themselves

Awesome game, the only thing that bothers me is that the game are too far apart, but like everyons said, Terry was fantastic....He carried Dallas alone in the 1st half, Wade was Wade, Dirk and Shaq both could have played better, I'm expecting huge games from both tomorrow

I don't think I'm missing your points at all, In fact I could say the same about you, but If Dallas win's (and I know thats an "if"😉 but if they do, than thats means its not as big as a factor as you thought, and the same could be said about me If Riley does win.

I don't know why, but I enjoyed that game. Although, I want the Heat to win the next 2 to make it interesting. Poor Shaq. Usually when he has an off game, he comes back and has one of his best. Not this time. He went from an off game to his worst playoff game ever. The Heat looked helpless and they are in general an aging team. Mavs should be good for years with their youth.

Man the Mavs totally housed the Heat, the more i see of the Mavs the more i like the way they play. Their depth is really causing the Heat problems because they are always fresh from rotating so frequently, that coupled with the speed they have could be the deciding factor in the series. Dirk has elevated his game to top 5 these playoffs, his defense has improved to where it doesnt hinder him anymore. That move he used on Walker in the 4th where he uses that reverse drop step then fadeaway is a money move, i've seen him use that alot and he has hit it every time.
The Heat can get back into this, the playoffs are all about adjustments. Riley has alot of work to do because his 2 star players were nullified tonight. The Mavs double teams on Shaq were very effective and the Heat roleplayers are gonna have to step up and make open shots. Wade never got in a good rhythm and then tried to start forcing it in the 2nd half and thats not his game.

i did say mavs from the start.... loving the drika dirka dirka!!!!!! should be a great series... good to see j-will play well too, when he plays like that hes one of the top 5 pg's in the league... he doesnt play like that enough though! shaqs playing like hes 25, which is scarey for the mavs... its good to see them do well with dirk though. they were infatuated about trying to find a karl malone player for a number of years and finally gave up on it and went german. finals time!

oh yeah... i was thinking next year of visiting the states, (plus going to toronto to see the raptors) and was thinkin is there a way some of us could meet up? maybe go check out a game even?

I think this post might have gotten over looked in the previous debate. Thought it would be a good time to resurrect.
C'mon guys at least give our boy Royke a response to his question.

Oh yeah, one more thing....

GO MAVS!!!!!!

I think that question was more ignored than overlooked, no I'm just joking...It's a tough question to answer because nobody knows what time of the year he's visiting or if anyone will be busy that time of year, I'm not even sure if I will be in the same state in two months from now, let alone a year, if he visits the state that I'm in, and I have no plans than I would have no problem hangin out with him.......

The Mavs played awesome defense last night, I was impressed by Stackhouse is shooting display last night, he hit some big shots, and was knockin down everything.....Overall I was disappointed because the game was a blowout, I expect better things from Miami
