What's in the box? My guess is that its a new look basketball judging by the shape of the box. What do you guys think?
This reminds, did they ever unveil what was in the bowl in the Miami locker room?

It was all of Pat Rileys rings and Shaq's rings and some other stuff I forget.
Im pretty sure its gonna be a new ball that Stern is unveiling, it will probably have a picture of Mark Cuban inside a prohibition circle on it.
Myth, it might be worth the Blazers going for the lottery again to get this guy:

I would even understand if my Lakers did the same to have a shot. Seriously if any of you guys dont know about this dude, check this out:

Just look at this kids timing when it comes to shotblocking, you cant teach that. He makes sure his body is away from the shooter and uses his long arms, that makes it impossible to be called for a foul. He also has great hands and makes even the toughest passes look easy to catch, reminds me of watching a young Shaq at LSU. It sounds like he has a much better work ethic though so who knows how good this kid can be.

Yeah, he is one of the only reasons I would accept an "Iverson for scrubs" trade. 😆
And Myth, they said what was in the bowl right before the MVP and Championship trophies were given out.
I actually thought my post earlier went through, but I already tried to state something along these lines:
"I actually wouldn't mind if the Blazers tank one more year to get Greg Oden 😉"
It has been said that he would have gone #1 in 2004 if eligable. I've also heard that he may be the best high school center "ever".
I guess I was distracted right before they handed off the trophies. I think I was talking to my dad or something.

well the slogan was 15 strong. and it was these cards that said that on it, and they just started dumping more and mroe in every game. Then they added pictures of family and them together and stuff in it. It was just supposed to be a thing to bring them together and motivate them.
Riley also told them the date they would win on a couple weeks prior, and only packed 1 suit to take to dallas. Gotta give him his props on great motivating.

What a tool. I have officially lost all respect for Riley now.

Btw, that Oden kid is sick!
Oh yeah one more thing, I think what's in the black box that will be unveiled on June 28th is a 'robot referee' that will replace these incompetent refs.

I think I actually like him more now. Now we know he's not just a stiff.
They have a good chance. I don't think they will be heavy favorites, but they'll be the favorites in the eyes of some. I think it will be between Dallas, San An, Detroit, and Miami just like this year. Hopefully Cavs will join those power houses though.
Btw, I like the new ball. I'm glad they just changed the pattern and not the colors.
F*ck yeah! The Blazers dumped under-achieving Telfair for the 7th pick and some unnamed player from Boston. I'm hoping for Rudy Gay with the 4th and Brandon Roy with the 7th. Either way though, I hear that the top 7-8 picks are pretty equal (which is rare). Hopefully Telfair doesn't suddenly develop and play well like most ex-Blazers.
yea this draft has a lot of good players but no obvious stand out like lebron. so with the #4 and #7 pick they are in a great spot. Dont forget they also go #30 and 31 where daniel gibson and dee brown may both still be available (sorry but i hate steve blake) they have a chance to really make a difference with this draft.
Rudy Gay and Brandon Roy would be great pick ups, i heard that Gay might be gone before then though. Roy is a solid player right across the board, he does everything very well and plays solid D (which is rare for a rookie). The Lakers were looking to move up for him but they couldnt get a deal done with the Bulls.
Telfair always struck me as a Marbury type PG, has no problem getting his own shot but doesnt understand that his job is to get his team involved. Look at the difference in him compared to CP3, he is the perfect combination of a scorer and team player that you need at the PG spot.
Steve Blake and Jarret Jack are both solid at the PG spot for the Blazers so i dont think they will miss Tefair too much. If they do draft Roy he would be a great replacement for Miles who must be on the way out.
The lottery is unpredictable (especially this year). Gay could go anywhere from #1 to #5. If he goes before #4, thats cool, because then we'll get LaMarcus, Tyrus, or Bargnani possibly. But if Gay and Morrison are available, I hope they pick up Gay. Although, the Portland area fans mostly seem to want Morrison and right now the team feels that they'll have to go with the fans' wishes. That way the fans can also blame themselves if it turns out to be a bust and not just the organization.
[edit] I hope that made sense but just in case it didn't:
I think Gay will be better than Morrison, but I'm affraid if it comes down to those two, the organization will draft Morrison to please the fans.
I would take Rudy Gay as well, he seems to have alot more potential than Morrison (who i think will be a solid player). If the Blazers could pick up LaMarcus or Rudy that would help out with the lack of depth at the PF position. Also Roy can play the 2 or 3 spot so thats a real plus. I've been hearing that the Blazers are trying to get rid of Miles and Randolph, have you heard the same rumour Myth?
The rest of that Portland/Boston trade is the Blazers get the #7 pick, Raef LeFrentz and Dan Dickau and Boston gets Telfair and Theo Ratliff. This is a pretty good trade for both teams imo.
The Blazers get LaFrentz who has a great touch from outside and a very good shot blocker and Dickau is a more stable guard that can run an offense and provide solid outside shooting. Plus whoever they can get with the #7.
The Celtics get Telfair, who with Delonte West in the backcourt can really push the tempo and Ratliff who can provide inside toughness and shot blocking. I also hear that the Celtics are in the hunt for A.I., can you imagine Telfair and Iverson in the backcourt together? Thats some serious speed, add Pierce to the mix at the SF position and they might improve alot next season.
