The Blazers are making trades like no other.
They traded Kryapa and the 4th for #2 to get LaMarcus. The problem with this is that Bulls were expected to take Thomas anyway and Bobcats to take Morrison so the Blazers gave away Kryapa for free.

Also, I'm disappointed they drafted Foye instead of Gay. But now I hear a possible 3-way trade may be happening with Boston and T-Wolves so that Blazers will get T-Wolves Brandon Roy.

Blazers ALSO are trying to trade #30 and 31 to move up again.

And yeah, with LaMarcus the Blazers are expected to keep Randolph for no more than this next season. Miles they just flat out want to get rid of. I say try to trade LaMarcus and Randolph for KG (thats what ESPN radio was saying as a possibility).

Oh, and I hear that most Blazer fans are completely pissed that we passed up on Morrison. Now I hear that they will be mad if the Roy trade doesn't go through. I'm personally just mad that we could have had Gay at 7 but didn't get him. Hopefully the organization got it right.

They are certainly trying, i think they really needed a shake up after last season.

Edit: Hey Myth i just read that Roy has been traded to the Blazers for Foye, if thats true the Blazers are making out like bandits.

I'd be happy if the Lakers can get Ager, he has fallen further than i expected.

Edit: or Shannon Brown.

Damn Brown went to the Cavs.

I wish Jerry West was still our GM, he traded Battier and got Swift and the #8 (Rudy Gay). Daylight robbery. 😎

Edit: Sheeyat! I really want Logo West back now, Jordan Farmar over Maurice Ager? You gotta be shitting me.

I still think they should have gotten Gay but I'm pretty happy with Roy. This, as a Blazer fan, has been the most exciting draft ever in my life. I like Aldridge and I like Roy. Where they messed up though is that they could have gotten Aldridge without giving up Khryapa (one of the Blazer's few energy gusy) and we should have picked up Gay. But again, still overall happy. Although I'm not sure about LaFrentz 😬

Hopefully we trade away Miles, Randolf, and Raef. All big contracts.

That is a rape of a trade. I would have taken Gay for Battier as it is, but getting Swift too? Steal. Although I must say I do like Battier. I think he is the NBA's most underrated player.

Btw, I've seen mock drafts with Ager as low as #30.

PG Blake/Jack
SG Roy/Dixon
SF Miles/Webster/Outlaw
PF Randolph/Aldridge
C Pryzbilla/LaFrentz

That is a pretty good team there Myth (i've probably left out a few players), young but still very solid and full of potential.

Przybilla may bolt. He is a free agent and he was getting pretty pissed with his teammates. LaFrentz can't hold up center by himself and from what I heard, Aldridge can't play C in the NBA. Now if we get Oden next year, then we're talking 😄

Dreams are free my friend. 😄

Im starting to get over my disappointment with our pick, Farmar is supposedly a solid PG with great court vision who can run a offense. My main gripe was that the triangle doesnt need a PG like that, but i guess it might pan out. If he can defend well that will be a bonus considering how badly we got torched last season at that position.

Damn, I was starting to think Ager may actually last until #30 for the Blazers. Oh well, I'm happy with him going to the Mavs.

Yeah the Mavs are stocked at the guard spot, Terry, Harris, Stack, Daniels, Armstrong and now Ager. Not bad at all.

Isiah is on acid man, whats up with him picking Renaldo Balkman? I cant even find any info on this dude, look at the players drafted after him.

Nice pick up at 31 Myth, James White sounds solid.

Like the Kings Quincy Douby pick. Hopefully he'll be something like Bobby Jackson who the Kings missed dearly last season.

On the Knicks pick:

Stupidity>Isiah Thomas

I'm really starting to wonder if the guy has some inner hatred of the Knicks going back to his playing days and wanted to sabotage their franchise for years and years, as Isiah makes Bush look like Lincoln in comparison. At least the Isiah era has been comedy gold.

At least they'll get a top pick next year!!!

Oh wait...that goes to Chicago too.

I think Houston still came out of the trade well. Battier will make a huge difference on Houston's roster. There main problem last year, other than the injuries to the big two, was no third option. Yao and T-Mac had to do it all on their own. Battier finally gives them a third option who can hit open shots, create, and play D. While they did give up a lot, IMO it was worth it to get a complete player in Battier. If they can fill in their other weaknesses (point and power forward) Houston could be very dangerous next season if Yao continues to do what he did in the second half of last season.

If I was Myth I would be much happier with Roy than Gay. Then again, I don't like Gay, but I still feel Roy is better. I also think Foye is better than Gay, but Foye is also my favorite player in the draft. If Foye would have stayed with the Blazers, I would have been a Partial Blazer's Fan. Now I am a partial T-Wolves fan. Kyle Lowry will be solid in the NBA, Memphis was smart drafting him.

I like what Orlando did. JJ, Jameer, and Dwight should be a good combination.

I don't know much about Rodney Carney but from what I hear, he is good.

Detroit got Will Blalock 😱 !!!(I have no idea who that is)

I like Redick going to Orlando, but of course i'm a Redick/Duke fan so I would of rooted for him anywhere he went, but he should fit it very nice with the Magic like Zeke said.......poor Sheldon Williams 🙁

I was dissappointed Houston didnt pick Redick, but they made a smart move pickin up Novak from Marquete in the 2nd Round, He can shoot the 3, obviously not as good as Redick, but he has size(6'9) and a good inside/outside game....

I don't know anything about this Italian kid the raptors selected, i'm interested to see if he's gonna pan out to anything, I personally have my doubts, but i'm sure i'm not the only way

yea im a big time duke fan as well, and orlando is a good fit for JJ. Falling to Phx would be a better fit, but he is garunteed to start in Orlando so it should be good for him.

some surprising non-drafts:
Gansey & Pittsnogle and pops-minsa-bonsu, nik canor-medly made some strong impressions in workouts as well but was still only thought to have a shot at late second round.

I also liked the later pick up the Blazers got in Sergio Rodriguez from Phoenix for cash considerations. Spanish Chocolate 🙂
