If anybody deserves MVP it would be LeBron. Look at the numbers 24.3 PPG, 6.80 RPG, 7.1 APG, 2.34 SPG and he's carrying a team to the playoffs with two decent starters and not much else. Nash has been great but look at what he has around him...and if you put Kidd, Wade, Bibby on the Suns...they would put up the same kind of numbers.
I dont think so.
Look at this: Phoenix Suns 29-53 .354 27 in 2003-04. In 2004-05, 30-4 and if they keep it up they will beat the Bulls record. The difference is that Penny Hardaway and Gugliotta are off and Nash and Richardson are in.
Nash has 15ppg, 3 rbg, 1 spg and 11 apg is not that far off from Lebron and the best record in the league and the huge turnaround that the team has made from the addittion 1 guy. I think Nash deserves it a touch more.

That's 100% bull. I wont even go into the extensive reason why, I'll just say this:
You say you plug in any other good PG and the Suns would be the same team. NO. Did you forget they had Stephon Marbury? He's 3rd in assists right now, and tell me, where were they last year with him? and where are they now with Nash? So your point is mute. They had a Good PG before, they just needed Steve Nash.
Nash is a difference maker. No if, ands, or buts. He's MVP.

Nash has had a big impact for the Suns but not as much as you say as look at the situation he came into. Amare after a injury plagued season finally is healthy and has developed into a MVP candidate. They got Quentin Richardson one of the better shooting guards in the league. Joe Johnson finally developed into one of the best shooters in the league.
Stephon Marbury?😂 are you kidding me...don't get me started on him...he doesn't deserve to be mentioned in the same breath as Kidd, Bibby, Wade and Nash. Also, in the 03-04 season Amare missed 30 games, Marbury was traded at the half way point of the season and I could be wrong about this, but I seem to remember as a whole the 03-04 Suns had a lot of inuries while this season they barely have had any. Also, did Marbury have Amare when he was this good? NO...Did he have Quentin Richardson? NO...Was Joe Johnson playing this good last year? NO
Alright Samas-adian lets look at the stats shall we.🙂
PPG Lebron 24.4-Nash 15.2...almost a 10 point difference although that is to be expected with a point guard-shooting guard comparison.
RPG Lebron 6.9-Nash 3.1...a 4 rebound difference with Lebron a little high for a shooting guard while Nash is about average for point guards.
APG Lebron 7.2-Nash 11.1...a 4 assist difference here but for Lebron to average 7 assists is pretty amazing with the amount that Lebron scores and what he has around him while Nash has teamates that is a point guards dream to pass too.
SPG Lebron 2.74-Nash 1.03...Lebron is second in the league in steals while Brad Miller averages more steals than Nash. 😐
BPG Lebron .88-Nash .03
Nash beats Lebron on FG%, FT% and 3P% but FT% is the only stat that Nash really has a wide margin in.
Turnovers per game are identical.
If you want to get into efficiency Lebron is 3rd in the league at 27.15 while Nash is 19th at 21.69
And then if you want to get into defense Nash couldn't guard my grandma if his life depended on it, while I wouldn't say Lebron is a great defender but he's pretty good.
These would be my MVP candidates as of right now.
1. Lebron
2. Amare
3. Tie between Wade/Nash
Stat's aint everything when it comes down on who's choosing the MVP. The Suns sucked last year and now they're the best team in the league and on the way of beating the Bulls unbeatable winning record.
Lebron has better stats but Nash is the player that transformed the team into the best team in the league. Its Most Valuable Player, not Most Statistical Player.
Certainly stats aren't everything...I mostly compared the two because you said the stats of Lebron and Nash are similar which is not true.
Nash wasn't the reason the Suns turned from a bad team to a great team...he was one of the reasons as there was also the signing of QR, Amare healthy etc that has made the Suns great.
Nash is invaluable to this Suns team. He is making his teammates better, and without him, the Suns' players of Amare, Shawn, Quinten and Joe would not be playing at the high calibre they are with Nash. James is doing well and no one is contradicting that. He has higher stats because James is the only offensive option on the Cavaliers.
The Suns have the best record, and if I remember correctly, they detroyed the Cavaliers earlier this season. That's the power of the West. LeBron plays in a weaker conference and has a poorer record. That must be taken into consideration.
Good points Reckoning although I disagree with some of them....Nash is invaluable to the Suns but IMO Amare to me is a little more invaluable. Without Amare the Suns are a lot worser at rebounding, shot blocking, scoring, and there would be no low post presence to speak of. Without Nash the Suns probably can't push the ball up and there scorers wouldn't get as many good shots and lose a scorer.
Weaker conference should be noticed, but also the talent level on both teams. Without Nash, the Suns are still a playoff team or close to a playoff team IMO. Without Lebron the Cavs are challenging the Hornets for the worst record, so to me Lebron has to do a lot more offensively and defensively than Nash does for his team to win.
Anyways, I'm done arguing....I still think Lebron should be MVP but I do respect all of your opinions. 🙂
Cavs would be destroyed without Lebron as well. Both sides make great arguments but I would have to side with the Lebron argument. Lebron is doing it himself while for Phoenix it is the Nash/Amare combo that is carrying the team. They are a more effective combo than any other in the league (arguably with Shaq/Wade but they don't have the supporting cast), but Lebron is THE man of the team. If there is 2 players on one team that seem to be MVP caliber, then neither of them deserve the award because individually they aren't the one making the difference.
Finaly got to see my Lakers play on ESPN, first time this season (you guys probably think thats a good thing). I only get 2 games a week over this side of the world. Who would have thought they'd beat the T'Wolves without #8? It certainly wasnt the prettiest game i've seen but they showed some guts to win with Odom in foul trouble. Whats happened to the T'Wolves this year? They just seem to choke at the end of games, KG is his usual self but they just cant put it together.
