Yep, the game itself really isn't worth watching until the 2nd half when the players stop dicking around. Plus you see pretty much the same people in the All Star every year, how many times do you see a fat has been race an old fart, and there's more smack going on between Barkley and Bavetta.

😱

Not me, only thing that might interest me more than the All Star game is the dunk contest...

I'm really looking forward to the skills challenge with Kobe, LeBron, Wade, and Paul.

Yeah, it's going to be pretty good, I think.

Don't tell me I missed The Race. I thought it was supposed to be first?

YES! Bryant and Wade in the finals for the Skills Competition.

Wade wins 🙁

Of course he won, Kobe doesn't pass well. 😆 😆 😆 Not bad though for doing something he rarely does.

But in the first round, he was perfect on everything, and I would take Kobe for anything over Wade.

Calm down, I'm messing around.

It's just ironic that Kobe lost because he can't pass. 😆 😆 😆 😆

Yeah, I know he doesn't pass alot, but the ones he does are nice, and it was getting pathetic when he missed like 4 passes in a row! And then he was messing around and the clock went to like 42 seconds, lol.

Dwight got screwed on that 2nd dunk, but at least Gerald Green did awesome. Good show, good show. Plus, considering Tyrus Thomas was the weak link, he wasn't as bad as most year's weak links.

Man Dwight Howard got robbed.

Should have been him vs Greene in the final round, complete bs from none other than former dunk contest winners ALL NIGHT LONG!

I do like how the judges were overall critical though. Usually they make it too easy to achieve a 50. Green's 50 was just to emphasize that he was the winner.

Yea, but because they were so critical they robbed Howard, and Green should have got a higer score on his 1st dunk, to bad Miami didn't have a dunker, they could have swept the competetion. The race was money, Bavetta diving for the finnish line, and Barkley falling ass backward was priceless.

All Star games are generally really good when you have pass first point guards starting. That's why with Nash and Kidd out, I have a felling that this one will be incredibly sloppy.

Bavetta/Chuck was awesome.

Dunk contest was mediocre.

I enjoyed the 3pt contest, even picked Kapono to win it. 🙂

I want a Bavetta/Barkely 2, but seeing Barkley after that race, I doubt that will happen. Bavetta really wasnt even that winded after the race.

Alright, my All-Star Saturday Night Recap:

1) The Shooting Stars competition was pretty lame IMO. None of the competitors, except for team Detroit, were really enthusiastic, and the whole thing was sort of a drag. The Oldies were really missing their shots (cough...Michael Cooper). I predicted Chicago to win. They got in the final round but lost to Detroit.

2) The Skills Competition was alright. LeBron and CP were asleep. Dwyane had literally a perfect 2nd round and won it in 25-26 seconds. I predicted him to win. Yay, that's 1 up for me.

3) As for Bavetta vs. Barkley, it was hilarious! 😆 I was hesitant to predict Sir Chuck to win, because I had this weird feeling that he was going to fall down on his butt during the race (which he did at the end). But I had to, because we're talking about a 23 year differece in age. Oh well, that's 2 for me.

4) The 3 pt. contest was pretty exciting. Kapono was pure ice-cold water in the 2nd round. 24 points...beastly. Gilbert gave him some tough competition though. I predicted Dirk for the win (I didn't know he would screw up so bad).

5)As for the dunk contest, I knew Gerald would come out on top. He was very creative in his dunks. Although I liked Dwight's backboard slapping dunk, it was simply too plain and it didn't has much "hmph" to it. As harsh as the judging may have been, I think Gerald deserved this one. Ha, they actually made the 2 minute limit after seeing Nate Robinson take 35 attempts last year. I also laughed when Vince was unsure of what score to give so he looks at the other guys and then puts up the 8 when he was about to put up the 10.

Barkley was taking it much more seriously than Bavetta. Makes sense too as he had everything to lose. I'm sure Chuck would've loved to be beaten by a 67 year old in front of 18,000 fans and millions watching on TV. He also would've been crucified by Ernie and Kenny for the rest of the year. I bet to psych himself up, Charles pictured a donut at each end of the court.
