No offence friends, but I don't understand this non-sense! What are we waiting for, we have a chance to get Jason Kidd one of the premier point guards in the league and were not going with this because of Bynum. Bynum might be the future, but then again he might not. Kidd's got more than a few good years with him. Sieze the oppurtunity, with Brown and Mihm healthy who needs Bynum? Those two are the future. Bynum looks good, but recently has been a non-factor(i.e. rookie-sophmore game) lately. If not Kidd the Lakers should try and get Bibby(although I find it unlikely that the Maloofs will deal their best player to their former playoff rivals. It won't kill the Lakers not to get Kidd but holding back cuz of Bynum. Come on, like Specs said this is a future hall of famer. Triple Doubles!
At the moment it would be foolish to trade Bynum simply because we only have Bynum and Turiaf at center right now. Kwame and Mihm will be out for a while longer and without Bynum we would be sorry in the middle (make that more sorry). Kidd would be a massive upgrade over Smush but it would weaken us at the center spot so much that it wouldnt make a difference to overall performance of the team.
I have loved Kidds game since he was at Dallas and he is one of my favorite non Lakers, but i wouldnt give Bynum up for him. Bynum may not become a franchise player but all the signs look like he could be a solid center for the Lakers for the next 20 years, probably better than solid. Even if he only becomes a Mutombo type defensive anchor that will be fine with me, the fact that he has already shown a polished post up game is gravy. Remember this kid is 19, imagine what he will be like at 21 with a couple of years in the weight room. As far as i know he is still growing so we could end up with a mobile 7'3 center with a near 8ft wingspan, alot of teams would like to have that for a couple of decades.
Bottom line for me is that i would love to have Kidd on our team but not at the expense of Bynum. Kidd is still an all star level type player but only for another year or two, if we dont win a title in those two years then what? Meanwhile Bynum would be 21 and who knows what kind of monster he could be.
Yeah that's the only downside now. Without Bynum we don't really have a center. But think of it like this with Kidd we could play Pheonix style ball with Odom and Turiaf until either Mihm or Kwame comes back, and for all we know Brown and Mihm could be the future. Mihm has the skills and Kwame has the body. We just need Kareem to complete their games.
C'mon Rod, hold the trigger for 15 more hours!
As for Wade, I kinda feel sorry for him. He busts his butt every game, and the Heat's record doesn't show it at all. And now, he's getting injured frequently, and this one could be serious.
Yet another tough loss for my Nets. The most disturbing part about it is Vince Carter scored 46. ❌
I didn't see the play he was hurt on but wouldn't it be ironic that a time where he was truly fouled the refs didn't call it. 😆 😆 😆
He will be alright....
I want Kidd as much as the next Lakers fan but not at the expense of Bynum.
And Mihm will be out for the rest of the season, he is in the last year of his contract and he may not sign with us...
Kwame, we can't rely on him, we don't even have a backup center currently and look at how much it is hurting us!

Damn, this place is flooded with Laker Gold tonight.
Yea, Wade's injury looked pretty bad, hopefully it's not as serious as it looks, but it was one of those awkward injuries, and those are normally the worse kind. I was looking foward to the Miami/Dallas game for the past two weeks too. It will be interesting to see if this makes Miami back in the running for a Bibby trade.
