I already said he would be a step up("upgrade"😉 for the Cavs at that position, but he's not going to elevate them to the next level. Isn't that what Cleveland is looking for, a Point Guard that will help elevate there chances to a championship.

Melo got to play alot more off the ball when Boykins was on the court, than Miller. When Miller wasn't hitting his shots, and the offense wasn't opened up, Melo had to create his own shot, just like Lebron would have to do when Miller becomes incosistent. When Miller is consistent, yea Lebron will be able to play off the ball more, but that's not going to bring a championship to to the Cavs, or even get them in the Finals. If they get Miller, they still won't be able to beat Detroit, or Miami with a healthy Shaq.

Ok, I missed you saying he would upgrade them earlier. Still, an upgrade is an upgrade and I don't think the Cavs are going to bring in a Kidd type player.

Bibby is not really a Kidd type player, to me, Bibby is exactly what the Cavs need to make that next step. A clutch shooter that can take pressure of Lebron while still being able to run the offense effectively.

Oh, agreed. I would take Bibby over any of the players mentioned so far (over Kidd due to age/injury problems). What I meant was I think the Cavs are not going to land a real big name and I would be surprised if they even get somebody of Miller's skills.

I don't think the Cavs could get anybody that is a big name, because who they have to keep and then who they have.

Ahh, ok, I gotcha. I don't see the Cavs getting a big name player either, I wouldn't be suprised if they got Miller though, I mean, look at them in that position, they have to do something sooner or later there.

I wouldnt get too excited just yet bro. I heard yesterday that the third team involved was Portland but adding another team to the trade just makes it easier to fall apart. I know the Lakers are interested but alot has to go right for this trade to go through.
I would like to see Kidd in the purple and gold if only to strengthen our defense at the PG spot, the fact that he brings so much more to the table is a huge bonus. He's smart enough to pick up the triangle offense quickly and he has already played for Jim Cleamons in Dallas when they ran a variation of the triangle.
I'd also like the Lakers to try and get Pippen if he is serious about coming back, i know he is old know but in a limited role he could help us alot because he is so familiar with the offense. Defensively i cant see how he could be worse than either Walton or Vlad and seeing as Vlad is out for a couple of months with a separated shoulder we need some back up at the SF position.

I hope we get him.

No, Rod's not going to do it. He won't give up Kidd unless he gets something huge in return, and right now, that's not what the Lakers are offering. I'm not satisfied with second round draft picks and a host of rookies. It's not happening, uh-uh. nono

I want to deal Carter now and get whatever we can get (preferably a decent big man), or else he'll opt out of his contract in the summer, and we'll get nothing for him.

No, he has 1 more year after this, but he can opt out this summer (and if the Nets don't make this trade, there's a 99.99% chance that he'll do it). He'd be stupid if he didn't. He could earn more money elsewhere in a team with more cap space.

There's a great possibility for the Clippers or the Magic (near his hometown), but he's not going to Minnesota.

If KG re signs there is a good chance he will be there.
