Horry suspended throughout the playoffs? That is ridiculous. It was a flagrant foul and was dealt with appropriately already. It was no worse than any other flagrant foul so I don't see why a suspension is necessary. Bell sure looked like he wanted a fight though.
The league wouldn't do it, but if I was in charge, he would At LEAST be suspended for this series. That boneheaded move was completely uncalled for and unneccesary. I've seen other flagrant fouls, and this one ranks up at the top, because he used his whole body to initiate the contact. He could have just held Nash with his hands, and the foul would have been called, and all would have been well. Instead, he body checks him with all his momentum. I mean, Steve Nash is a small player compared to Horry. He could have really hurt Nash. That's a move that's bound to hurt someone regardless of size, because it's all about momentum and speed. Nash was running at full speed and Horry knocked him into the scorer's table. In the end, he didn't get severely hurt, but that's the not the point. And this wasn't even a foul to prevent a basket. It was a foul coming off of a Suns' rebound and outlet.
If the league doesn't punish these guys for being idiots and doing these kinds of things, then they'll do it again and again, and in time injuries will grow exponentially. Give them a petty fine, and they'll forget about it in a matter of hours. They're millionaires for crying out loud. It's like fining you $5 for potentially severely injuring someone else without any good reason of doing it. You'd pay up and soon or later forget about it and do it again. That's why Horry should be out. Not only could he have hurt Nash badly, but a tough punishment will make him think about what he did, and he'd make sure it didn't happen again.
