Man what the hell was 'Big Shot Bob' thinking? Anybody else feel the Spurs wanted this win pretty badly?

I think this will definitely go to 7 games now. The Spurs must be kicking themselves for letting this one get away!

Edit: Btw anyone else notice how Nash is chocking a bit at times during this series a la Dirk?

He was thinking he needed to get a stop and maybe he could injure him and dismantle that franchise. Hell if that had worked that would be the biggest shot horry had made in the series.

Big Shot Bob was thinking one of two things.....

Thought#1-I'm gonna cheap shot Nash, get Stoudamire, and Diaw suspended for leaving the bench so we can steal game 5, and try and it take at home....

Thought #2-Man, I gotta rough Nash up, he is definetly not struggling like Dirk did in the 1st round.

This proves that the Spurs are dirty. Totally uncalled for, and a mixture of sore loserness and stupidity. He should be suspended for the rest of the playoffs.

It's subtle, but everytime the Spurs lose, it's like they can't take it. It's like they think something has to be compensated for it, like body checking Nash to try to hurt the Suns chances of winning. Just be a man and take the loss. Play better next time, don't be sore losers.

And Horry, what an ass. This is coming from a guy who hasn't had an ounce of adversity in the NBA. He's lucky enough to always be on one of the best teams. He has 6 frikin' rings. He's been in the playoffs every single year of his career, AND he's never lost in the 1st round. Throughout so many years of defeat, Phoenix finally gets a opportunity to win 1 GAME, and this guy can't take it! Spurs wanted it badly my ass, so do the rest of the teams in the league. He's a certified sore loser.

Another reason why I hate the Spurs.

Its not even that big a deal really. That shit happens all the time. It has always been happening people get frustrated and take cheap shots San Antonio is hardly unique in that way. Ten years ago no one would have gotten suspended.

No, there is still woulda been suspensions 10 years ago. It was an obvious cheap shot, but I give Horry the benefit of the doubt because he isn't known for being dirty, and besides this one cheap shot, I never seen him commit a hard foul (he probally has in his career, my point is he isn't a dirty player) Bowen on the other hand is a different story, but it's not like the Suns are innocent either, Thomas is a dirty player, and if anyone has watched his matchups with Duncan closely, he has held his jersey, elbowed him, pushed him from behind, rake him, ect. basically doing what Bowen does for the Spurs.

If Amare ends up getting suspended that would just be total BS and the league will pretty much hand the series over to the Spurs and mess up a perfectly good playoff series.

Btw, those guys from inside the NBA were just wrong for having Shaq trying to shoot free throws... 😂

Who in there right mind thought he was actually gonna make one?

Not me that's for sure.

THE NEW AIR CANADA!!!!

😆 😆 😆 😆 😆

Horry suspended throughout the playoffs? That is ridiculous. It was a flagrant foul and was dealt with appropriately already. It was no worse than any other flagrant foul so I don't see why a suspension is necessary. Bell sure looked like he wanted a fight though.

I wouldn't mind fighting Raja Bell, he is more of a punk than Horry. I just can't believe my boy did this.....shame on him but could be one of his more clutch moments. Could have potentially won the series for the Spurs, Amare and Diaw could be suspended. Auto win for Spurs in Phoenix, then they return home to close them out.

GOD I HATE THE SPURS!

...and the Suns.

I hate all of you!

It was even funnier when Shaq tryed to act like him missed on purpose for Barkley, and Kenny Smith called him out a 2nd time, and he still missed. Not even Barkleys prayers could get Shaq to make one.

Maybe one game at the most.

Nash could of been ****ed if his back of his head hit the top of the ledge (which I think is made out of fiberglass, or some sort of hard material). Easy concussion.

Meh, he's Canadian. He of all people can handle it. Throw a lil puss pie like Raja Bell like that and he ia down for the count.

I'm just waiting for my boy Lebron to take on the Pistons. He's been passign so much trying to save his energy. If he can take over those games well the Cavs have a better chance than some think. If the other guys contribute win or lose the Pistons will know they were in a fight.

If Amare is suspended............ face-plain

The league wouldn't do it, but if I was in charge, he would At LEAST be suspended for this series. That boneheaded move was completely uncalled for and unneccesary. I've seen other flagrant fouls, and this one ranks up at the top, because he used his whole body to initiate the contact. He could have just held Nash with his hands, and the foul would have been called, and all would have been well. Instead, he body checks him with all his momentum. I mean, Steve Nash is a small player compared to Horry. He could have really hurt Nash. That's a move that's bound to hurt someone regardless of size, because it's all about momentum and speed. Nash was running at full speed and Horry knocked him into the scorer's table. In the end, he didn't get severely hurt, but that's the not the point. And this wasn't even a foul to prevent a basket. It was a foul coming off of a Suns' rebound and outlet.

If the league doesn't punish these guys for being idiots and doing these kinds of things, then they'll do it again and again, and in time injuries will grow exponentially. Give them a petty fine, and they'll forget about it in a matter of hours. They're millionaires for crying out loud. It's like fining you $5 for potentially severely injuring someone else without any good reason of doing it. You'd pay up and soon or later forget about it and do it again. That's why Horry should be out. Not only could he have hurt Nash badly, but a tough punishment will make him think about what he did, and he'd make sure it didn't happen again.

Yeah for the rest of the playoffs would be ridiculous. 1 or 2 games is fine by me.

and the playoffs were ruined. How can you suspend amare and diau and not duncan? Duncan went further onto the court than either of them. total bs and one of the reasons I will never really like the nba again.

Horry got 2 games and Amare and Diaw got 1 for coming onto the floor when the "fight" broke out.
While i cant stand the Suns i do think Horry was out of line and it just hurts the game when you cheapshot a player for no reason. Its no different than Tinkerbells clothesline on Kobe last year, just no reason for it (unless Horry was hoping that the Suns on the bench would get involved and get suspended).
The Spurs should be more worried about how they choked away that lead they had in the 4th, that is very unlike them especially at home. The Suns are still dangerous without Amare, they will just push the tempo even faster and at home that could spell trouble for the Spurs. I still expect the Spurs to win but they cant take the Suns lightly because Amare isnt there.
