I'm pretty much done with the playoffs now. The only series I might tune in to watch will probably be the Jazz-Spurs hoping the Jazz could pull an upset.
I don't know if it's just me but with the exception of the 1st rd the playoffs really haven't lived up to my expectations this season. Not sure if it's just me losing interest in the league and sports in general or what some of you have already pointed out that it's just not the same as the old days.

Word. Te gap between teams are just too big, and some teams that shouldn't even be recognized just happen to match up well with others.
Last year's playoffs were great. This year, not so much. Utah better pull this one out. I'm so sick of the Spurs.
Phoenix needs to make a major move too. I would give up Diaw and Jones and even a draft pick to pick up Dwight Howard OR Kevin Garnett. The starting line-up of Nash Bell Marion Stoudemire and Howard would be unstoppable. Literally. or even Marion Garnett and Stoudemire in the frontcourt. Not even the Spurs would stop that.
If you don't think the Spurs/Suns series was good there your out yo damn mind. Other than the suspensions hurting the Suns, I think they really shot themselves in the foot by not use more of there bench, especially in game 5. There stars burnt out at the end of that game, and couldn't finnish it. Using more bench could have eassily have prevented that.
I'll be watching the Pistons/Spurs Finals, and if the Spurs beat them I'm going to throw a D'antoine fit, I'm pissed as it is they beat the Suns, if they beat my Pistons I'll be livid.
And just out of curiousity, what's everyones studying?

The Spurs/Suns COULD have been a good series if it wasn't ruined by suspensions.
The series wasn't even that exciting too me. It's was just like any typical NBA game. It's really good until the end, when people start chucking up 3's as fast as they can, insteads of trying to get a good look. The best game in the series was when Amare didn't play, and that game even had a shitty ending. There was 10 seconds left, enough time to pass a little bit, or drive and kick out, for a GOOD look. What does Nash do? Take 2 dribbles to the 3 point line, stop to pull up for the 3, realize somebody is right on him, but still decides to chuck it up anyway, and it's not even close. Suns lose. That is a typical NBA ending. The GS series was fun to watch because they were killing the Mavs, and I hate the Mavs. And the game 4 was the best game of all the playoffs so far. Because down the stetch, BOTH team were making baskets to keep it close, so it was a good finish. Unlike basically every NBA game.

And the Spurs did a perfect job of finding the open man in the 2nd half of game 6, thats why the won that game.
In the Dallas series, all Dallas did was chuck up 3's. Thats one reason why they lost it. And game 5 was the best game in the Dallas series because of Dallas (or should I say Dirk) chucking those 3's to come from behind and extend that series.

Dirk chucked 3's, but not as fast as he could. He pumped faked like 4 times, and passed, pump faked again, and got a good look.
I'n not saying when they chucked the 3's up, they didn't need them. But if you have time to get a good shot, use it. Too many players try and shoot it as fast as they can, and it results in shitty endings. The Spurs and the Pistons might be the only team that does that, but they were ahead so when they scored it just made the lead bigger and thus the ending not good.
The NBA just isn't exciting to me unless there is 1 team that I really want to win. And in that series, there wasn't, so its wasn't a very good series.
That doesn't make sense. So, in order for a series to be good, you personally have to like it? The GS/Dallas series was one of the most exciting series, not because you were rooting against Dallas, but because GS was a major underdog as seen by many people, but they managed to win behind their electrifying crowd. That doesn't mean that the Spurs/Suns series wasn't exciting. This was a match between two heavyweight teams, and one outlasted the other in 6 games. It could be said that the suspension of Amare and Diaw had an effect, but it still was a great series. Except for Game 2, every game was relatively close. How could this series not be exciting? I was pretty much neutral for this series. Doesn't mean that I didn't think it was exciting.

IMO, it wasn't exciting. I figured it was obvious that when I said "It wasn't exciting too me," it was my opinion only. I am just saying that the NBA just isn't exciting to me anymore, unless there's one team that I really want to win. I'm just stating my opinion, I'm not trying to change anybody elses. You apparently thought it was an exciting series. I didn't.
It's probably because March Madness is SO much better that the NBA just always feels like a dissappoinment to me. 😉
