They obviously know nothing, since they are comparing how good a player is with how good his team does. That only works in certain situations.

Wow, it's been awhile. I hardly ever come in here anymore but since I'm still playing in the KMC league this season, I figured I'd just drop in and add my 2 cents like old times. I apologize in advance for the length of this post but I'm sure you guys will understand.
What a myriad of trades this season. I think this was one of the most active trade seasons in recent memory. There were so many, that some just flew in under the radar. Like the last minute Cleveland trade. What a fantastic trade for Cleveland. IMO this just might put them right back in the Finals. Surrounding the league's future dominant player for yrs to come with clutch shooters and the missing defensive presence that was lacking inside.
The Celts made no major trade but instead picked up 2 quality veteran role players that should strengthen their bench which is what they were lacking.
The Pistons did almost nothing which is exactly what they needed. They've been playing great so just like the Celts no major changes were needed. The last minute addition of Theo Ratliff should bolster their already strong defense inside and give them that shot blocker/ intimidator that they were lacking after Ben left. The addition of Dixon should also provide some bench scoring when needed.
The West is just simply out of control, 1 game separates teams from being in 1st place to missing the playoffs entirely. The Lakers pulled off the biggest Houdini trade in recent memory. The way they were able to keep Bynum just wasn't fair. Now Kobe actually has a team around him and like he said, "It's time to walk the walk!" It didn't seem like to long ago I thought the Lakers couldn't contend and now they could well be favorites to win it all. The key will be in how Bynum comes back and how well he's able to compliment Gasol.
The Suns felt that by trading away Marion for Shaq they would address their lack of a defensive physical presence inside. Apparently someone forgot to tell them that Shaq has been unofficially retired now for the past 2 seasons. Has anyone noticed that teams are still scoring well above 100 pts a game against them? Has Shaq made a difference so far? Not so much. Will he make a difference come playoff time? Who knows but for right now the trade seems just awful to me for the Suns.
The Hornets picked up a couple of pieces they needed to strengthen their bench and the Spurs did as well but just like the Pistons not much change was needed.
And finally the Mavs made a big trade for JKidd which was just simply horrible in its 1st form and then a bit more palpable in it's 2nd form. All I can say is thank god for Larry Bird rights! Did this trade put them over the top? No, it just put them right back where they were 4 seasons ago when Nash was the one running the point and they still had no defensive presence inside or strong post up player to speak of. Granted Kidd is a much better defender than Nash but also a much worse shooter. Keeping defenses honest and off Dirk will be harder with Kidd but he's the closest they'll come to getting back to that offensive form they had under Nash. The Mavs looked like a lost team at times in need of direction, in need of an active floor general not a retired one(Avery). Actions speak louder than words and Kidd should make the game easier for everyone. Another trade or pickup was needed but nothing came, perhaps it was too late. But the simple pickup of a Theo Ratliff would have sufficed for me. With the loss of Diop now the success of the team hinders on how much Dampier is willing to play up to his contract. Good luck with that.
With all that said, ahhhhh!!! Can't wait for the playoffs!
For his age Lebron is just amazing. At this young age player usually only start their flourishing, kind of like Chris Paul, but Lebron already has complete stardom. I wanna see him in five years lol.
Going to the Pistons vs Knicks game tommorow! Crossing my fingers for the Knicks, I mean they have to get lucky once in a while.
What happened to Marbury by the way? Wasn't he supposed to play against Lebron yesterday? Is he going to play tommorow?
