Michael Beasly to the rescue.
Sixers play the Celtics tonight. This game will acutally prove if our little 14 out of the last 19 is for real or we were just beating bad teams.(Even though the average margin of victory is like 21 points.)
ah vince carter. who was the fanboy on here a couple of years ago?
dont get me wrong... hes a great player. he brings a lot to a team. he can get to the basket, he can shoot. but he seems to have a bad presence. i wouldnt want him back in toronto even if rafael aroujo was still playing for us and was a straight swap.
Yeah, but look at both teams.
Both have been shit since Vince Carter been there. Like I said before, he's talented but considering everybody thought he was the next best thing, and he isnt. He's done. Yeah, he can score 20 points but he's done as top level player.
He will turn into a player that gets shipped around the league every year for playoff bound teams and eventually will not win anything because they realize he is Vince Carter.
well... lakers face the almighty raptors tonight. pity the raps aint that almighty. think bosh is still out, so its gonan be tough. anthony parker has been playing really well though. if the guards of toronto can run rings around the lakes we may have a chance. also, about the name thing with seattle. the los angeles lakers is just wrong. they were originally the minneapolis lakers i believe? how many lakes are in LA? and utah has no jazz. the utah mormons perhaps.
Oden, Aldridge, Outlaw, Webster and Roy is gonna be a very exciting starting 5. They'll need some time to develop that chemistry once Oden returns but damn they have very good defenders at every position (switch Webster and Roy and bring Jack in as PG) and the thing i love about Nate McMillan is that he demands that they play hard defensively. That kind of mentality will take them far because sometimes your offense just isnt there but defense should be constant. If the Blazers can keep that core together and make sure that egos dont get in the way then they have a great chance at winning some rings.
The Suns, Spurs and Mavs are on the downswing now so i can see teams like the Blazers, Hornets (if they can get some low post offense), Rockets (if they can ever stay healthy), Jazz and the Lakers being the teams to beat in the west. Obviously that depends on how the GM's from the older franchises rebuild after their window is closed but the Blazers have done a great job shedding their delinquent garbage and building a young, athletic team that plays hard and for each other.
You should be proud of your team Myth. 👆
