And seriously worth taking a quick pick at:
He mentions two games (Lakers v. Blazers Game 7 of 2000, Lakers v. Kings Game 6 of 2002) where I remember YELLING at the TV (scroll down to "Question: What was the most disturbing subplot of the playoffs?"😉/

Sorry Laker fans, but that game was awesome from my perspective.
Indeed it was, I was a little disappointed they didnt show all the celebrities faces when they Celtics were winning with 4 minutes left because the previous 44 minutes thats all they ****in showed. I'm just curious, but when Sasha was on Allen one on one with a minute left were Laker fans thinking "No, someone ****ing help him!!" Because when i seen that matchup, and they were letting Sasha take him one one one I was thinking all long with the rest of the Laker Haters "Thank You God!!!"
Originally posted by Dr. StrangeloveWe played excellent offense in the first half. Our defense was mediocre. Really Boston was missing easy jumpshots. 😬 In the second half we got happy and went away from driving and lived with jumpshots. The series is over. 🙁 If the Lakers couldn't take that game then they aren't gonna win 3 straight. And I wish Phil would let Kobe play god darn near the whole game. He rests him too much. When he comes out everything falls part.
The problem for the Lakers is that a great offense can choke but a great defense doesn't.
Originally posted by wuTaThey darn well Sasha can't guard(w/o fouling) Ray Allen. 😠 And why Gasol help. When we did help we helped off the wrong people. Why would you leaved Posey, Allen, or Pierce. THEY ALL CAN SHOOT! I'm pissed too. I knew the Celtics would bring it back to ten but come back and win the freakin game. 😘

One game at a time guys, it can be done.
If we can win tonights game then we shift the pressure back to Boston. Im not sure if we can do that or not but i dont want any of our players to say they didnt give everything, leave it all out there on the court and i'll be a content fan.
i'm rooting for the C's..... but guys good look. another game or two with the celtics winning in 7 would do me good.

Am I the only one who noticed Garnett commited one foul this game? Refs just hated him today.By the same token, he missed way too many free throws in the forth quarter.
Did you happen to miss the million illegal screens he's setting? I can't stand that the refs aren't calling him on those, freeing up Allen and Pierce for wide open jumpers. Not only are they moving screens, but he's sticking his skinny elbows out and blocking players that have a chance at blocking the shot.

Thats why the Pierce and KG pick and roll works so well, KG keeps moving with the guy he is screening and completely takes him out of the play. Only been called once but it happens every time they run that play.
Great win for us, not pretty but its still chalked up as a W. Our frontline finally put together a complete 4 quarters, now we have to improve on that for what will be the ultimate test tomorrow. If we can take game 6 then all the pressure is on the Celtics, we have to focus on taking it game by game though.
We have won big games on the road all season long, but the Celtics are by far the best team we have played and they match up with us better than any team. If Perkins is out then we have an advantage on the frontline and have to crash the boards, if we can keep the Celtics to one shot then we have a great chance when they go cold. Control the glass, defend smart and execute the offense, whenever we make more than three good passes you can see the gaps in the Celtics defense (the key is patience).
I cant sign off without mentioning our defense, it was horrible. We cant expect to stop anyone with that effort on the road. Jeff Van Gundy was spot on when he kept calling out the stupid decisions we were making especially on Pierce. We have the talent to be a good defensive team but not the mentality, i just hope they were listening to Van Gundy tear into them and look to improve.
Ariza and Kobe are the only ones who can guard Pierce. Ariza just has to stop playing him so close because he can't recover if someone gets by him like Kobe can. Force him to take jumpers. if you crowd him, the guy is going to go to the basket. I honestly don't want Kobe to have to guard him until the 4th quarter, so he can save his energy. I don't understand why Phil went with Mihm, but if he's going to do something like that then he might as well go to Newble who can probably guard Pierce better than Ariza and definitely can better than Luke and Vlad.
