Heck yeah. Draft has been especially thrilling since we got Pritchard as our GM. Plus I won a Portland contest (95 winners) to go to a draft party that is hosted by LaMarcus Aldridge. Should be fun.

Nice, maybe we'll see you on TV again.

I was actually interviewed at the lottery party and got on TV. They saved my sound bite for the end of the segment. I just couldn't find the video online.

Move over Kenny Smith, we got a new analyst. 😉

Anyone hear about the JO trade to the Raptors? If its legit then i like the Raptors frontline if JO can stay healthy, problem is neither Bosh or JO is a true center but i guess that doenst matter too much these days.
Calderon is a solid PG so i doubt they miss TJ that much and Rasho is easily replaced.
The Pacers finally get rid of JO's contract, i bet Bird is kicking himself though for not taking the Lakers package from last year with either Bynum or Odom and fillers. JO's stock has dropped drastically.

Actually I yelled my way through the interview like Stephen A.

j/k

I really like the trade for the Pacers. I'd rather have TJ's injury history with a pretty big contract than Jermaine's injury history with a near $20M/year contract.

Latest rumors have it that the Blazers are in serious talks with NJ with Jack + #13 for #10 + Trenton Hassell. I like it. With the #10 we can likely get DJ Augustin (or Westbrook if we're lucky). Hassell sucks if you ask me, but Jack has will have a 300% of his salary hold next offseason when we are hoping to make a free agent splash so Hassell's contract is a little better. Also, we could buy him out to save a little more money or potentially he could be a good veteran guy to have around.

The question is if he can stay healthy.

i dont know what to think of the trade... biggest plus from it? it'll give calderon a chance to prove himself. hes shown he ca be a great talent, and all we need from him now is consistancy. JO though i'm not sure about... he has had injury problems, but colangelo is a smart guy. sad to see tj go though, means the pacers now have two pgs in tinsley and tj. that mean they're moving one of those?

A lot of rumors starting to fly in, after all this is draft day. The best is LO and #58 to Miami for Haslem and #2. Don't know why Miami would do this, do they like LO that much??? It could be because of the expiring contract of Odom, then you have Marion who I think expires after next season, so that is extra incentive. But this would give us an opportunity to take Mayo. And then we can say goodbye to Farmar as the pg of our future.

IF he can stay healthy it would be a pretty good trade..

Raptors fans, i think JO's health may improve now he is moving to a winning team. Just a hunch, but he wouldnt be the first player to shut it down when he's team was going down the toilet. The main problem will be working together with Bosh as they are both high post players, maybe JO can get back to the low post game that he had a few years ago.
Evo, Riley loves Lamar, he always has. He always says that he hated to let him go in the Shaq trade but it was too good of a deal. He would welcome Lamar back with open arms, Wade is good friends with him to. Im still not sure why they would give up that high a pick though. Haslem would be a nice backup for Gasol at PF but we'd need to find a starting SF because thats where Lamar is supposed to be playing next season. Ariza hopefully will be the first SF off the bench but i'd feel better if we had a more experienced player starting for us who can hit the outside shot.
Lots of rumors this time of year, thats all most of them are though.

Kings are in a weird position at no 12. A lot of the guys they want could already be taken but on the other hand, once the top three guys go (Rose, Beasley, Mayo), it's pretty much a crap shoot talent wise so Petrie will be crossing his fingers for the first 11 picks. I would personally get a point guard. The Kings will most likely resign Beno but they have no back up point other than Cisco who can dribble the ball up, but he is more of a 2 guard as he is more of a spot up shooter and not a guy who sets others up.

Draft tonight. Wonder what other trades will happen.

Crappy draft so far. Nothing exciting. 😖leep:

I just dont see him doing anything with the Raptors. Hopefully he proves me wrong.

Kevin McHale just traded away OJ Mayo for Kevin Love and Mike Miller...man, I was looking forward to the Foye-Mayo back court. Now the Twolves have an undersized front court with Jefferson and Love.

Kevin McHale is an idiot. Honestly...why the hell does this man have a job? He traded away Brandon Roy for Randy Foye, traded KG for Jefferson when the Lakers were offering much more, and now he trades OJ Mayo for Kevin Love? WTF is this guys problem?

With that being said, Odom for Mayo? Memphis is possibly trying to open up cap space, Odom has this huge expiring contract, and well, we need a point guard like Mayo. He is as good of a shooter as Sasha, has ball handling skills, can drive and plays defense, reminds me of a taller Deron Williams. We simply do not need Odom with Gasol and Bynum, we can start Ariza at the 3 or pursue Artest after he opts out.

Why in God's name would Portland do that? And as for Kevin McFail having a job...beats me. But with that said, Michael Jordan is a much worse executive.

Odom for Mayo is highly unlikely so I posted a trade I wish would happen that is highly unlikely too.

Kwame for Gasol was also unlikely. And it involved the same two teams.
