Sheed is a good player, but he could be alot more effective if he posted up more. The Pistons dont have many good post up options and Sheed has a nice game with his back to the basket. He has a good outside shot, but the Pistons already have perimeter players. If Sheed gets down on the block in the finals and gets Duncan in foul trouble then we could be looking at a different series.
As for his antics on court, I'd rather have someone like Sheed on my team who plays emotionally and with intensity. He could probably pick the times he chooses to open his mouth a bit better but at least he cares enough to say something.
The thing about Rasheed Wallace is that all his teammates have always liked and respected him. That says a lot. And also, despite his reputation for combustibility, he is a very unselfish and skilled play. I like that he is outspoken too. The technicals are too much, I don't like that, but overall I like Sheed as a player. Especially with Detroit where he toned down the T's and became a difference maker.

Hope I'm wrong for your sake though, seeing as there are no Spurs fans around here at least one of us has a team in the finals.
🤨 🤨 😒: !? Are you crazy?!?!?! I'm a loyal Spurs fan, not to mention authentic!!! Been in SA all my life, born and raised! I can't wait for this series! wuTA, I respect you and all, and from what I've read you seem like a pretty cool person.......
but your team's going DOWN!!!!!!!!! 😄

Not necessarily true. I had him as a Blazer fan for years. I think I was the first in all of Oregon to want him traded. Although he has tamed himself quite a bit since going to Detroit.
you know you loved him 🙂
i give credit to larry brown for taming him somewhat....probaly the only coach sheed ever has that told him he welcomes his emotions
anyone else think that because sheed is such a private person off the court, he makes up for it on the court? i've read interveiws with him, and they're more like otyher peoples veiws of him, which are always good. you mite find a good few lines from him but thats it. i've always been a huge fan of him. true, he needs to work the paint more, if he did defenders would be screwed not knowing if he was playing them inside or outside.
what trades and free signings does everyone think we may see in the summer? i can see the kings going for someone, maybe the sixers passing up webber for someone? he has been a little disappointing, but i think he needs a bit more time. hopefully pre season he'll make the adjustments. i have a feeling the bulls mite bring in a vet, just to help the youngsters out in the post season. i felt like they needed someone more experienced to help them out. suns to trade for a defender? more than likely!
and what about teams to improve next season? warriors will be good i think, they had a good run towards the end of last season. hopefully, my raptors will improve, cb4 is gonna be huge in a few years if he keeps working.
I really don't think it is a good idea to trade Webber right now. His stock is down so it would be best to wait for him to be playing better as an individual. I would love to see the Cavs snag up either Redd or Ray Allen, but we'll see. As for my team, I see the Blazers letting Damon walk after he rejects a contract that is less than he wants. I'm guessing he'll end up playing for his man lover, Isiah Thomas. The Blazers will then sign a vet PG to push Telfair.

😆 Sorry dude. I havent heard you mention that you were a Spurs fan, whereas there can be no doubt who wuTa supports. Good luck to you both, may the best team win. 😄
As for the off season, anything can happen.
Right now i think my Lakers need a whole new team, hopefully Kobe can grow up in the off season and realise that basketball is a team game (although i remember saying that last year). I like Mihm at center and Odom at PF (although he needs to get tougher down low). We have an abundance of SF's unfortunately they are all average, Butler is probably our most promising but he has no outside game. We have no back up for Kobe and i dont think Atkins will be back next year. Our bench is pity full and we couldnt defend to save ourselves, so next year is gonna be another work in progress until we can get some cap room. Sorry to go on about the Lakers (considering how they are so unpopular around here) but they are my team and i dont know any other teams personnel as well as my own.
I agree that the Warriors were looking promising towards the end of the season, Baron is one of my favorite PG's and the back court of him and J-Rich should be exciting. Redd would be a nice fit in Cleveland, the Cavs has no outside game last year. But he may decide to stay with the Bucks now they have the #1 pick. The T'Wolves have got alot of work to do, i just dont know what happened to them. They had the same players as the year before, but they were god awful this season. I cant see any of the powerhouses slipping next season, unless we have a blockbuster trade like the Shaq one last year.
no need to apologize for going on about your team Kool, i don't have a problem (and i'm almost positive noone else doe either) with you going on about your team as your a loyal laker fan...i have a problem with the fair-weather laker fans and the dumbass celebrities you only see at the game when the lakers are winning, its true i don;t like the lakers, but i still enjoy your take on what you think your team needs to do to improve, because normally you're right on the money
koolruningz, talk aboutthe lakers as much as you wish, its what forums are for! about the t-wolves....
i can see KG upping. hes been there too long and needs to find new pastures. he brings it every night and plays hard, pity the rest of the t-wolves franchise dont... except the fans anyway.
myth, i've been a fan of damon since he was with toronto in their rookie seasons. that was the first year i got into basketball, and needing a team to support i went for the raps, it was both our season in the nba so it seemed like a good choice. damon in that year was awesome, won the roy, and i remember they beat the invincibulls to give them one of only ten losses the bulls had in that year.
i think there'll be a bit of action with the lakers, kobe needs help, even if he doesnt want to admit it. odom isnt ready to be a regular go to guy, perhaps a good 'known for his scoring' vet will be brought in.
on another note, i wanna mention the guy who got me into basketballis leaving the magazine hes always been involved with. scoop jackson of slam. amazing writer, and he appeared over here in the uk on a hoops programme for 3 seasons, and was a knowledgable, infectous and just a good guy to watch, and an amazing writer as well.

weep Thanks guys.
😄 Seriously though, KG is one of my favourite players and he not only needs help he deserves it. They need a total overhaul, Cassell is past it and Sprewell isn't consistent enough. As for the Candyman, well you guys know the rest.
Cant wait for the finals to start, if Detroit plays their trademark D then it is gonna be a great series. The Spurs were perfect against the Suns but the Suns arnt known for their defense, so its gonna be interesting to see if Parker and Ginobli can dominate this time round. Mohamed needs to be a factor to, other wise Duncan is gonna be doubled every time. Sheed is the key i think, if he gets Duncan to work on both ends then the Pistons have a good shot because we know Duncan isn't 100%.
Darth Royke, i used to watch that NBA show when i lived in England. He hosted it with Mark Webster didn't he? Scoop does have alot of knowledge and definitely knows his hoops, but i found he sometimes overdid the hommie talk. My guru for Basketball when i was getting into the game was Hubie Brown, he was an analyst on TV and he was like the basketball Yoda. I used to play myself alot then and he helped me immensely with his comments on TV. I hear he is back on TV again but i only get ESPN and Bill Walton, he can be pretty funny sometimes but he doesn't have the knowledge Hubie does.
