Marvin (from NC) is 6'9" and I believe he can play either forward position but usually plays SF. He led NC to the NCAA title, would have went lottery straight from high school even but played one year college and is expected to still have a ton of potential. He is the most likely guy to develope into a superstar (so many say). I say draft him, start him at SF (for Blazers). Then the Blazers have two options. Right now Blazers already have Darius Miles at SF and Ruben Patterson I believe is a free agent. I would like Ruben re-signed and Miles traded but that could be a gamble if a trade can't be made. If we don't re-sign Ruben we need to keep Miles but he won't be happy off the bench and would be overpaid off the bench. I say draft Marvin, re-sign Patterson, let Damon walk. Use Miles as trade bait for a PG to develop Telfair. If Miles can't be traded, have him back up Marvin and Ruben can shift to SG and we'll have to sign a PG.

May will be lucky to make the lottery. He's good, but if he goes in the lottery, it will be just barely. And sorry, but Duke doesn't have anybody good this year.
did Reddick declare himself for the draft?...i coulda swore he said he was staying...dockery is a good player...Sheldon Williams is a very good player, don't tell me he declared himself...i don't think he's ready if he did
The Spurs are just better than the Suns. Even with Johnson back it made no difference, when you watch both teams play defense its obvious the Suns cant compete. Marion has been a non factor and the Suns have no bench production. I think the Spurs will still meet Detroit in the finals, i'd love to see Ginobli go against Prince.
This is a tough one for me because as much as I want the Spurs to win, I don't want it to be a sweep against the Suns, even though that would be a little cool. I love watching Nash play, so it would be just a smidge bittersweet for me. But as they say: "Go Spurs Go"!!!
BTW: Anyone else hear what Duncan said when they questioned him on his all of a sudden very accurate free throwing ability? "They just kept falling in." 🙂
That's just weird for Detroit to play such terrible defense in game 3. I expect Detroit to play ferocious defense for game 4 as they cannot beat Miami if Miami scores over 100 let alone 110.
I hope Phoenix can win at least win one game to make the Spurs work a little. I kind of doubt that will happen as the Spurs are just beating Phoenix in every facet of the game.
i don;t think anyone knows how bummed i am right know...or maybe frustrated is a better term, yeah frustrated that for pretty much the 3rd game in a row detriot didnt play to there full potential, hell, that haven't played there full potential all postseason with the exception of the last couple of games against the pacers....i'm not gonna ***** or moan about billups getting gangraped to the point where he;s spitting up blood or shaq's offensive fouls....all i'm gonna say is billups needs to STEP THE **** UP...when he goes so does the pistons, same with sheed
The Pistons have spent most of the season thinking they can just turn it on when they want and thats a mistake alot of champions make when trying to repeat. When Sheed makes his guarantees the Pistons come through but they dont need to be told how important the next game is. Wade is going anywhere he wants against their defense, after game 1 i thought maybe Prince had Wades number to but Flash has responded and stepped up, so the Pistons need to do the same.
Offensively i think Sheed is the key for the Pistons, he simply has to shoot more. His percentage is good but he doesnt take nearly enough shots and i dont mean 3's he needs to get down in the post and draw some fouls. Billups is a big game player, so i think he will bring it in game 4. If the Pistons are to win this series they have to slow down Wade, he is the best player on court right now.
As for the Suns, thanks for some exciting ball this year. Ive really enjoyed watching them play this year (remind me of the showtime Lakers days), but they have come up against the best team in the league playing the best ball at the moment. The Spurs are streets ahead of any other team and they should take the title barring a major disaster.
Yeah the Suns delayed the inevitable, they finally were able to get out and run. How about Amare's block on Duncan? That was sweet. Good to see Marion have an ok game, but he's gonna have to bring more to the next game. On a side note, am i the only one who thinks Marion has got the ugliest jumper since Bill Cartright? Johnson played great and if he was healthy from the start it may have been a closer series. The Spurs will be pissed that they didnt take care of business but should be able to close it out in the next game. Its hard to imagine them playing that bad down the stretch again.
all right...its about freakin time detriot played to there potential...that was detroit basketball at its finest...billups stepped up and made good decisions, rasheed contributed, rip was hitting his shots (he still needs to make his free throws), tayshaun was tayshaun, ben was all over the boards, and they got big time help from there bench....a game i could finally watch without grinding my teeth and grunting...detriot baby detriot!!!, lets go!!! just two more, two down....two down....oh, and marion has the ugliest shot i ever seen, that shot could stop a clock
