Im stoked we got Bynum's contract sorted, he was saying all the right things but that agent of his is a shark and i could see him becoming a distraction for Drew if he had become a RFA. Now Drew can focus on anchoring the paint and converting all the easy looks he is getting.
Our defense has brought tears to my eyes, i havent seen a Laker team swarm like this since showtime. The three peat teams played great D but they never rotated like this team has in the first 2 games. Obviously the key is maintaining it through the whole season, it needs to become our defining characteristic. You look back at Phil's Bulls teams and they had the smooth offense but teams feared them because they gave you nothing easy, we have to adopt that mentality and with the athletes we have on this team it is achievable.
Webster signed to a 4 year, $20M contract (4th year is team option). This plus Batum's good start further suggests that it won't be too long before Outlaw is packing.
Good win by the Blazers tonight. I'm glad it was a good game, because I originally spent as much as I did on those tickets with the hopes of seeing Oden's first home game up close.
After the AMAZING Phillies parade I went over to the Wachovia Center and got tickets to the Sixers for $10 because they had a deal that if you were wearing Phillies you can get in for $10. There wasn't many people there so I was able to sneak down to the lower level seats. Brand had a very good game, with like 24 points and 14 rebounds and he didnt even play the whole 4th quarter.

I say bad for both teams. Denver needs defensive help, and both those guy(Billups and McDyess) aren't really known for their defense. As for Detroit.... good luck with 'Sheed AND AI.
Billups is a better defender than AI. He also has more leadership qualities that I think will help compliment Melo.
