True, but leaving Cleveland for Detroit or New York will nopt get him a title..The only thing it will get him will more heartache..
If he truly leaves then The Lakers and Celtics should be teams he should consider..
I would love for James to play alongside Kobe, Bynum and Pau
why wont detroit and new york be in a position of winning a title with bron? detroit are rebuilding and joe dumars is an incredible gm, he'll have a team worked out and elsewhere people have stated how their young players are developing well. new york i'm looking to improve now that d'antoni is on board, they wont win much this year, but there may be some changes and i expect next year for them to improve. add lebron to either of those and that could make them lethal.
i cant see the lakers having the money for lebron, especially with the team they have and how well bynum is developing, they simply wont need him so why waste the money? celtics? unsure of what their plans are.
Nets, Denver, Knicks, Pistons are only a few of the teams that are trying to make smart trades and clear up cap space in order to sign a star player like Lebron quiet soon. Lebron will probably want to sign with the team that is a title contender as already mentioned, even if it is in sacrifice for a few million dollars. The past or the present, however, will not be the only thing that will make Lebron make his choice. In order to get him, The Lakers and The Celtics will surely have to make some crazy traders in order to clear up the cap space. I can't imagine Kobe playing with Lebron. Lebron is a person that likes to have the ball in his hands, and so is partially Kobe. We can't really decide who will get Lebron now, because more trades will be made and teams with alot of capspace right now like the Nets, or the ones that are rebuilding and will have great amount of capspace quiet soon might rise up to be title contenders, like the Knicks and the Nets.
Jesus how about Tony Longoria? 55 and 10 is a monster night even if it did require OT.
Im not impressed by these long layoffs the Lakers are getting at the start of the season, we were rusty against the Clippers in the 1st half and we cant afford that against the Rockets. Should be a great game though, im looking forward to seeing how Drew does against an elite center coming back from his injury. Gasol has to play better though, he has a clear advantage against Scola and we'll need that with Yao defending Bynum and Artest on Kobe.
Looking at how Yao struggled against 6'8 Perkins, Andrew just has to use his quickness and be effective with his shot. Granted Yao always gets up for the Lakers. Never been sold on the whole Artest can handle Kobe. Kobe's knee was a lil sore again hence the sleeve; days rest Kobe should fine his stroke. Pau can handle Scola. Good to see Farmar go back at the Rocket rookie guard
I agree that Artest cant stop Kobe but because of his reputation as a stopper he is aloud to manhandle Kobe a lot and that can sometimes take Kobe out of the team rhythm and go too much 1on1 (we know Kobe doesnt back down from a challenge). Hopefully Lamar can get extended minutes because he nullifies Artest's post up game. Ariza has been a revelation off the bench, he played well last season but his movement off the ball is a joy to watch. Especially now we have another great passer in Gasol that is now finding him on back doors. Oh how i wish we'd had Drew and Ariza for the finals last season.
Oh..... my...... GOD!
Last night was insanely awesome. I wasn't able to post until now because I was at the game and had to get to bed since I woke up early for some things I had to do today. Anyway, I went through an emotional roller coaster last night. I thought we had it won, then lost, then won again. Friggin idiots that left early. There wasn't a lot of them, but I hope the ones that did feel like assholes who are not real fans. Maybe that will be a lesson to them. Obviously the arena was a madhouse when Roy made that shot. Coming away with a 2-3 record is more than enough considering our first 5 games. Apparently, it is the first time in history a team had to start out a season playing 5 teams in a row that had 54+ wins the season before. Considering that, it is a decent start to the season. Now, hopefully we learn how to win on the road, because even though the teams will be generally easier, the next 6 of 8 are on the road.
