How the hell did we let the Hornets come back from a 22 point deficit.
It's because the Hornets are the second best team in the West. I'd expect a good fight from them. Who cares, though? We won, that's all that matters. It could have been a 1 point win. I think it's good the Lakers won like that. They have to prove they can win the close games too... not just the 25-point blowouts.

That, and this is the NBA, the game of runs. Most teams will make some kind of a run at some point in the game, especially after they are down like 20 points. Hell, it seems like every Sixers game they either blow a 20 point lead or come back from a 22 point deficit.

Nice win by the Blazers. Much prettier than the crappy way we played against the Wolves. Plus, our first road win comes nearly a month earlier than it did last year. Also, here are some pics of me with Oden.
Does your girlfriend cut your hair?😛 That last pic of Oden smiling is priceless. That must have been cool. Hopefully Oden won't ever get a big head and stays cool to the fans.
Kobe was atrocious tonight. I don't understand what goes through his head some times. "Well, if I keep shooting jumpers, maybe ONE will go in". I usually defend him, but he was just plain awful tonight. He absolutely refuses to throw passes into the post. Fisher and Farmar are no exceptions, they jacked up shot and did not get the ball to our big men, who had a pretty big advantage in the post.
But we were just beaten by a team that obviously has our number, no matter how talented our team is. I hate the Pistons!!
I believe we are capable of beating them, if we play smart, and utilize the advantages we have in the front court.
Kobe is my idol, but sometimes u have to let the challenges go. Andrew or Pau should've had more touches. I wish Pau would protect the ball better. I would've liked to see Josh Powell in there banging and getting some loose balls
Lakers will see em again in Detroit
Get the bigs involved early Sunday, Rad and Fisher have to hit some jumpers

I love the Pistons as everyone should🙂 actually i would hate that, more bandwagon jumpers is never a good thing. I think every team is capabale of beating the Pistons if they play smart and takin advantage of there strenghts, but luckily we got a smart veteran team that likes to do the same thing.
It had to happen at some time Laker fans, i was pissed that we didnt play smart though. Agree with both guy and Evo, the advantage was in the post tonight and we just didnt look for the big guys. These jumpshots early in the shotclock have to stop, you wont beat a smart team like that. The triangle is designed to find the best shot against any defense and if its run properly thats exactly what will happen. One or two passes and then a contested jumper is just asking for trouble.
Our real problem was on defense though, Bynum needs to play more. When he is out there you can see that the other team is aware of him lurking in the paint. He allows our perimeter defenders to play more aggressively and our defensive rebounding is alot better. Gasol is a good weakside shotblocker but he doesnt have that intimidation factor that Drew provides.
Good game by the Pistons, you have to give them credit on the end of a back to back. They played smart on both ends and kept the effort up for the whole game.

i like the way they play, they're typical of the blue-collar ethic of the city. wouldnt say i'm anywhere near a fan though! wuta, how you feeling AI on the team?
I liked the acquisition of Iverson. Pistons needed someone who is a bit more selfish and who isnt scared to take the last clutch shot when they need in crunch time. The past couple years Pistons were playing too much of the passing game because they were so unselfish they wanted to have everyone get involved but that would stop the flow of the offense and lead to runs for the other team in critical moments. I love Chauncey but we needed a change.
Well, too bad Blazers lost to the Hornets in a close game, but there is no shame of losing to them, especially away. It also makes me happy to see Oden have a good game. 11 points (3 for 3 fg/5 for 6 ft), 11 rebounds, and 4 blocks in about 24 minutes. I'm watching the Blazers/T-Wolves game right now. I'm not sure how much Oden will play in a back to back.
Last nights Blazer loss to the Warriors was tough to swallow. I rarely complain too much about the refs, but they were terrible and pretty much handed the Warriors that game. LaMarcus Aldridge was wrongfully fouled out after 19 minutes of play. He got 2 offensive fouls on Maggette flops (I want him fined, he had 3 identical flops altogether). LaMarcus's 5th foul came on very ticky tack call away from the ball in the 4th quarter. The 6th and final foul was when he took a charge (I think from Maggette actually) and ref said he was in the restricted area, but the replays showed that his heels were 4-6 inches outside of the restricted area. Warriors overall got a lot of calls that the Blazers weren't (which was especially bad considering GS shot 33 for 35 from the free throw line). In the final seconds, Blazers forced 2 insane turnovers to get back into a game that looked like GS was sure to win. Then Golden State had an inbounds pass at half court and threw to the back court. Rudy Fernandez read the play perfectly and got the first step on Warriors rookie Anthony Morrow and looked like he was going to get the ball and have an open lane to the basket. Morrow did the only thing he could do to stop Fernandez by grabbing a fistful of Rudy's jersey and pulled enough to slow Rudy's run. A holding foul was called on Rudy after he tried get Morrow's hand out of his jersey. Then the ref had the nerve to call a technical on Rudy with only a few seconds left when he tried to explain that he was held. Rudy was no more animated than anybody else I've seen get upset at a call in the final seconds. I was shocked that not only did we get screwed on that initial call, but we got an almost unheard of technical in the final seconds of a close game.
