Go Lakers indeed

They will be fine. Remember the Lakers finally defeated the Suns last year without Andrew. A lot deeper and playing good defense

As long as the refs don't take the game away from the purple and gold, the Lake Show will be fine

Detroit vs Boston good so far

Lakers 105-92...Kobe led the Lakers; Rad was the man with 5 3's. Good defense, and 43 points off the bench...woot

9-1 baby. How many games do you guys think we can win this season?

I think as long as we take care of the scrub teams, then we can win 70 games.

No injuries, the sky is the limit

71 to break the record

I'm thinking 71 to 73 victories can very well happen, but as long as the Lakers are holding the trophy in the end, thats all I want to see happen

i think lakers will get about 65-67... some teams are still finding thier footing or have injuries... still look good for a title run where they'll lose to the east finalists.

raps of course😛

Woah, the Knicks are cleaning house!! Sending to Crawford to Golden State for Harrington and sending Randolph to the Clippers for Tim Thomas and Cuttino Mobley.

i think good trades really. state needed some backcourt help, not sure teh clips need ANOTHER big man... kamen, camby and zach? good luck there! knicks have improved i think, cuttino mobley is a great player, not a top scorer but can help carry the load if needs be. timthomas i aint so sure about... and harringtons a good solid player too.

They're trying to get LeBron..

I'm not sure if he really wants to go there..

Lakers win again...104-90

10-1 😊

Kobe found his shot early. A double double for Andrew. Bench mob was strong again. The Lakers are playing great defense

I heard that they now have room for 2 max contracts in 2010. If they could convince Bosh to go there (or Wade, but I see that as less likely), then maybe the Knicks are more enticing, because LeBron can play with Bosh for D'Antoni. I certainly hope that the Knicks don't get any of the big name guys they are going for.

i really hope bosh stays in toronto. if we can get some playoff appearences i think he'll stay, as long as the team shows commitment, passion and promise.

oh and four words.

god damn vince carter

But also, if the Knicks do sign LeBron and someone else, i don't thnk that will still be enough to be crowned champs..

Games still have to be played and barring injuries..

And of course LeBron is a poor free throw shooter, so thsat will come into play as well

Two max contracts? That would be crazy if they could land Wade and LeBron.

Looking at the 2010 free agent list, it seems that there will be a host of good players in the pool.

Isn't Chris Paul 2010 too? Or is he 2011?

remember when orlando signed the then in his prime grant hill and a fresh tracy macgrady? it should have been a huge thing. hills do it all game and macgradys high scoring and flashiness. hill got injured and hasnt been the same player since, which is a huge shame for anyone into basketball. he was incredible to watch. taking people off the dribble, setting other players up, rebounding over bigger guys... he had it all.

Bosh loves it in Toronto. He's not going to leave.

Ya know I'm gonna laugh very very hard and loud if all these potential free agents resign with their current team

Lakers win. Kobe led the way; as a total of eight players were in double figures

Of course its not a guaranteed championship. But it would be very very easy to build around Lebron and either Wade or Bosh. Think of the established vets that would take a pay cut to play for a Knicks team that is very likely to help them get a championship. I'd say assuming in good health, a team like that would be favored to win just about every year. Heck, imagine Nash wanting to go back and play with D'Antoni again. Sign for $5M or less just to get a championship. I really don't think that would be unfathomable to imagine.
