There is a lot of talk in the media about Alston going to be suspended for slapping Eddie House in the back of the head, but if he is suspended, it will just further anger me about Rondo not being suspended in round 1. Rondo throwing Hinrich at the scorers' table is way more dangerous than a slap to the head.
Rafer will probably be suspended. Fisher shouldn't be suspended, but that was still very unnecessary. They are also looking to see if Kobe elbowed Artest, which he did, but he shouldn't be suspended either. Of course, it doesn't matter what Kobe did because Stern would never suspend a star player because he is on all the star's nuts.
Stu Jackson better get this right!
Just saw that Fish is suspended for game 3, what a crock of shit. The inconsistency in the league is a joke and its ruining the games. What you saw last night was a good physical game, which is what you would expect when you have 2 teams trying to win it all. You see big guys setting hard screens all the time and leveling the little guys, but as soon as they get pushed back the league jumps in and overreacts. Obviously it was a foul maybe even a flagrant but to toss him and now suspend him just shows the double standard. As for the Kobe "elbow", please Ron dont be such a pussy. Ron Artest is one of the most physical players in the game and he's complaining about a little bit of contact boxing out. Anyone who has been coached will tell you that Kobe's body position for boxing out was textbook, you are told to get your elbows out. The actual contact was to Rons chest anyway not his throat and it was so minimal im surprised someone of Rons strength felt it. If you are gonna play physical you have to expect it back, thats the type of hoops we should be seeing this time of year with so much at stake, i hope the refs let them play in game 3.
Other than that great effort from the guys, yes they let another big lead slip but their energy was much higher this game. Fronting Yao really worked well and we need to stick to that as the Rockets are very poor at throwing post entry passes when pressured. Pau did exactly what he needed to do against Yao on offense which is run the floor hard and take him off the dribble in the half court. That reverse pivot left handed slam was incredible for a 7 footer. Kobe was on all game this time, he carried us just like game 4 in Utah. I still think he will have to try and get to the line a bit more in Houston and put pressure on their defense. We rely on him to get guys like Pau, Lamar and Drew easy shots on the road so he has to stay aggressive. Speaking of Drew now would be a good time to show up, you dont even need to score but just challenge some shots and grab some boards. The offense always comes to him if he is active, just start with the basics Drew - we need you.
Cant wait for game 3, hopefully the emotion will carry over. This is how all playoffs games should be, minus the ejections and suspensions.

Artest was pushing down with his arms for the rebound, so he got what he deserved. Period
Pushing down (a foul) on a rebound does not in anyway deserve an ELBOW towards your face/throat that is the dumbest logic I have ever heard. If people can get suspended for stepping on the court from the bench, and Howard can for whiffing on an elbow I dont see how this isnt a suspension also. There cant be subjectivity in these you either need to stick to the rule of an elbow is 1 game or not.
