Lakers win 108-94 😊
Led by Kobe's 31, but the gameball goes to Jordan Farmar(12 points, 7 assists). Shannon Brown played awesome as well
Kobe shut Ron and Shane's mouth with those 3's in their face
U can't be talking trash before the game
Artest with a cheapshot on Pau. Flagrant 2. If those ****** have any guts, he's suspended for the game on Sunday. Made no attempt on the ball
That is exactly the kind of game you need to play on the road, excellent defense (for the most part) and smart decisions on offense (for the most part). When we play with that kind of mentality then we can beat anyone, great effort tonight.
Kobe willed us to win again, he doesnt need to wear himself out if we are hitting the outside shots. He scored when we needed him to, but he was very controlled. He also played some great help defense including that rejection on Yao at the rim. Cant say enough about Farmar's performance, he didnt seem to need to play reckless out there with the starters and could just focus on using his speed to get us easy shots. Great effort defensively to, he deserves major props for making an impact after being out of the rotation for so long.
Bynum also played some great defense on Yao, he is able to hold his position much better than Pau and with his long arms he is very effective when we front. The offense will come for Drew but i loved that he did all the little things defensively tonight, all those things add up to get a win in a tough road game.
I hope Yao isnt out of the series, he is a truly likable player and he deserves to be out there leading his team. I dont agree with the flagrant 2 on Crazy Ron, thats a foul nothing more. It would be hypocritical for me to get all up in arms over that when i want to see them be allowed to play. Good job by Pau to not make a big deal about it and just get up and make the FT's. Mark Jackson and Van Gundy said exactly what i was thinking about easing up on the whistles and letting them play.
Now we must focus on taking game 4, dont be happy with just a split. Kick a team when they are down, the Rockets believe they can win this series but are a bit shaken right now. Now is the time to show that killer instinct that seems so elusive for us, take game 4 and finish it at home.
Take em out early
Artest didn't make a play on the ball
I call Mark Jackson. Corporate. He's on Stern's nuts. I thought I heard Gundy say it was a Flagrant 2. I play my tape back in a bit. Letting em play be good. Teams gotta realize, ur not gonna punk the Lakers. Artest ran his fat mouth and look wat happened
Its up to those idiots. ESPN news should have the penalty if any tomorrow afternoon
Good to see Andrew play like Andrew in the 1st half. 2nd half, well. I just hope Phil isn't punishing the big guy because of his off the court stuff
I like Yao. Good player. But he's the enemy now. 😂
I will say being a Lakers fan since '79, very embarassing to watch a team that talented get blown out
They were not prepared and Phil could've helped when the lead was 6 or 8. Call a time out and get ur team organized
Phil should've started Jordan. Fisher just can't guard anyone
Tuesday nite next game. Lakers need to be mentally prepared. 3 game series now. Its a shame because this series should've been 3-1
This team is bipolar, it looked like two different teams out there in game 3 & 4. It starts with Phil, you cant really argue with 9 rings but you know the Rockets are gonna speed up the tempo with Yao out and we start Fisher? Really? How does that help contain Brooks? Farmar earned the right to start tonight and it was obvious to anyone who watched game 3 that he matches up well with Brooks and he also can create easy opportunities in transition. Fisher is no use in this series but it seems that Phil is too stubborn to make changes, Farmar and Brown is all we need at PG. Farmar did all you can ask of him in game 3 and gets rewarded with a seat on the bench, that should really help his confidence.
At the end of the day it all comes down to defense, when we play it we win, when we dont we can get beat by anyone. It will be tough for any team to beat us 4 times but we keep trying to tempt fate with our lack of focus game to game. Hopefully this will be the last time we have to learn the hard way but i dont feel hopeful anymore.
