Ariza's agent got played plain and simple, Mitch told him to see what offers he could get for Trevor and the Lakers would see if they would match. That seems like the sensible approach to me, but Trevors agent took that as a diss and started talking shit about the Lakers. Now we have a better player in Crazy Ron and Trevor is signing for the Rockets for the MLE (which im sure the Lakers would have matched). I hope Trevor fires his agent, you could tell he wanted to be back in LA but his agent got greedy and tried to play the big man.
I really liked Trevor, he always played hard and was a great compliment to Kobe on the perimeter. But Ron has a lot more versatility on both ends, he can guard the strong SF's like Bron, Melo and Pierce and even smaller PF's like Dirk and Lewis. He is a strong post up player and for all his craziness he is a fierce competitor. I have faith that Phil, Kobe and Fish can keep Ron stable and all he really needs to do is defend and hit the wide open shots he'll get from Kobe and Pau. Our team looks scary on paper (providing we can get Lamar and Shannon back) hopefully they can get that chemistry going right off the bat in training camp.
