I just think that two teams did the same thing that the Celtics did.

Pick up Shaq to win a championships. Pheonix failed and Cleveland failed. Why? Because he isn't good anymore and he still thinks he is.

I dont think behind the scenes the C's thought they needed shaq to win a title, they got to the finals last year and despite the Miami adds they're still good for this year getting there again. I'd say hes more big insurance and someone to mentor the younger bigs.

Ahh, I don't see that.

The Celtics have an old team and sooner or later, its going to backfire. Shaw and Jermaine O'Neal just further increases that.

Yeah but I think theres enough players there to absorb the inevitable injuries.

New Jersey vs Toronto in LONDON for back to back regular season games in march... I'm gonna be going there if I have to sell body parts!

I don`t know man. The main players are the old guys. I can`t see there backups giving them good enough minutes to warrent a deep birth into the playoffs.

Even though just a year ago they'd been to the finals? My opinion is if you've been to the finals you're the team to beat in that conference. They'll make the east finals unless one of the main 4 (Ray, KG, PP, RR) get injured, then they may lack a little.

Just because a team goes to the finals doesn't mean they will next year.

I just don't see it. They're old. Garnett has 25 percent of knee left, he was largely ineffective in the playoffs aside from a few games. Ray Allen was awful in the finals aside from a good game.

I just don't see it.

Obviously it doesnt mean they will make it again, but how can you write a team off when they did get there last year even though they were third favourites behind orlando and cleveland, teams with talent and a lot more youth? I think they'll be in the east finals, or at least give a really tough second round to someone. Boston-Miami in the east finals.

If I remember correctly, I didn't think or hear that the Celtics were the third favourites. In fact, I remember most of the Celtics thought they would lose in the first round and when they did get to the Finals, they were totally taken for surprise.

I can write off a team because I look at it right now and the top three guys gained an extra year in age. Garnett knee is ****ed and I'll be surprised if he plays more than 60 percent of the season. Allen is getting slower, Pierce isn't what he used to be and they added two C's who are old and can barely play. Don't you remember how Jermaine O'Neal played for the Raptors, or how Shaq played for the Cavs? Why do we assume they will get much better this time around.

They wont be better, but they wont be played in such a way as the raps, heat and cavs played them. yes the players are getting older, but theres plenty of backup and if they're all healthy playoff time... they're dangerous.

i think the bulls have a good young team. and shouldnt becounted out of the finals pictures, however, if carlos boozer dosnt show up, we might be shaky, but we can deal with a unwilling carlos, we got taj gibson

I don't think they're dangerous even if they were healthy. Not this year and especially with Shaq and O'Neal.

Anyways, did you see what Bosh said about his move to the Heat?

Yeah I remember seeing that on twitter and actually mentioned to him about him simply 'going'... I think quite a few did as he changed it 10 mins later or so. I dunno man, the media will say things and take other things out of context, at least he played all season and always seemed to put 100% in.

Bulls will do well, I think next year will be more their year however though.

It's pretty hard to take "I played thier emotions" out of context.

Can't say I didn't see it coming. He clearly wanted out because he wanted to be a media whore. He's not Vince Carter but it still rubs the fans the wrong way when he does shit like that.

All he has to do is, "I'm keeping my options open, don't know if I'm coming back to TO or not but I do love playing there and the fans were great". Ta da, no bad feelings.

But instead he did, "Where should I go guys!!!" routine and it pisses people off.

I look at Roy Halladay, the all star ace for the Blue Jays, and he never said anything to media about leaving, let he wishes known to the team and never complained. He got traded and then took out an ad in the paper to thank the fans for the years. No drama.

i think so too, they now have a seasoned, derrick rose and jokim noah,

and they have two good power forwards

bulls made some nice moves

still too lil for the world champs

as for boston....they will b in the thick in things prolly until o'neal starts whinning about minutes once perkins is healthy

you think they don't have enough chemistry, or they are too young

anybody hear bout wade blocking a ten year old's shot at rucker park

big tough guy

It's not like Kobe hasn't done the same thing.

YouTube video

well, honestly, not really the same thing
