It really is similar. Kobe is playing some kid at his camp, on offense he posts the kid up. Kobe is atleast 2 feet taller, what's the deal with that? I can understand playing good defense, but does the best player in the world have to post a kid up whose nowhere near his height/weight just to score?

As much as I detest Kobe, he's smarter than Lebron. He aint gonna let something like that happen to him like Lebron frequently gets himself into for some odd reason. Not that it's as impressive, but John Wall got owned by Doc Rivers son in a training camp a few days ago.

They'll definitely compete this year. They've got a great PG and a great starting frontcourt. They'll definitely be really good this year.

yep, derrick rose, carlos boozer, luol deng, joahkim noah, taj gibson. strong team on both side of the ball

Bulls are currently a nice squad. Better than the Hawks. I don't think they're seeing Boston, Miami, or Orlando though. Not yet. This is supposed to be Rose' breakout year, I suppose Boozer is still able to be classified as "prime".

Question: Deng/Noah or Melo? This is a no-brainer for me. I'm picking Melo. Noah is important no doubt, but not THAT important.

The Bulls are CLEARLY better with Melo. Rose/Melo/Boozer; that's a sick trio. Then they would have a shot at the title IMO. I can't believe they're are people that think Deng/Noah is more valuable than Melo. Or is it just me?

BTW, Miami is a lock for the regular-season best record assuming they stay somewhat injury-free.

Anthony clearly is the better player.

But if he added him, took out a few guys, would the record stay the same. That's the question.

Having a superstar doesn't give you an automatic pass to the Finals, or a better record. Look at the Cavs. Had the best player in the league but they didn't get anywhere.

Cavs never had a Rose caliber player. Jamison is roughly on the same level as Boozer but came late and was a terrible fit with Cleveland. Not a good analogy.

With that trio you have inside(Boozer), outside(Melo), and a nice young point guard who could break out any moment(Rose) who slashes with ease and is a terror in the open court. That's comparable to Miami's trio. The Bulls as they are currently aren't IMO.

Yes, I do think they're record would be better with Melo instead of Noah/Deng, as well as them going farther in the playoffs with him instead of them.

You don't need Miami's trio to do well in the NBA.

I'm not saying they should, but instead of trying to get him now, the Bulls can wait to see how there team plays before they do anything drastic.

agreeded, they got to the playoffs last year with the team they had, but now, we got boozer, picked up kyle korver, and signed keith bogans, not horrible pickups

Look at the Suns. Would they be just as good with Melo?

No. The system they played probably be not good for him. Not saying he would be bad for the Bulls but not every player does well for every team.

That's not what I'm implying. The Bulls would be better fit to combat Miami with Melo than with Deng/Noah. They'd be a better team.

So your a Bulls fan. The question stands:

Off Topic: My dad follows the NBA but it is not a major fan of any current particular team. He doesn't think much of LeBron going to Miami. He says this has been done before and will be done after. He feels LeBron was a free-agent and made his decision, for whatever reason doesn't matter, he made it and that's that.

True. But.....

I have to disagree with LeBron going to play with the third best player in basketball.

Do you see issue with this or don't hold it against him. He compares this to what Boston did in 08 and what the Lakers did in 04. When I explain to him that all of those players were clearly past or at the end of their prime he says "I don't give a shit about prime".

Not only the fact that LeBron is the 2nd best player and Wade is the 3rd. They're both wing players and they're came is very similar to each others.

Don't mean to beat aorund a dead bush. But, solely talking about one superstar joining another superstar, do you find issue with that like me?

I don't care what he does. I never did.

Let me be more clear: do you oppose elite franchise wing players teaming up with other elite franchise wing players? Or is not a big deal to you.

This is for everyone btw.

Nah, don't really care either way.
