If Bosh does the same it will be a shame, there's no chance of the Raptors pulling themselves up if their star players are not loyal. Do any of you Raptor fans know why these players run for the hills as soon as they can?
Number one reason.
It's the United States of America.
National TV coverage goes into Raptor land once a blue moon.
Sure, they're treated like royality in the city and throughout Ontario, and maybe the rest of Canada (highly doubt that), but generally, most stars want USA coverage, not Canadian.
Also, management hasnt been good lately.
Don't forget that the Raptors really weren't that good last year. When Carter led them to the playoffs they were on TV quite a bit. TV is going to play whoever people like and last year people simply didn't care too much about the Raptors. Its not like New Orleans necessarily got much coverage last year. However, this year they will at least be mentioned a lot for obvious reasons but still not much broadcasting.

True, but the majority of players will still feel that they will get more attention in US teams than Toronto.
Just look at how many times players have decided not to come and play with the Raptors when traded.
Here are the new ESPN power rankings if anybody's interested.

Of course, I'd have Phoenix ahead of Detroit, but they're solid rankings. For now anyway.
The one that excites me is seeing Cavs at #9. Hopefully they are about the 9th best team or better this season. As for the top 5, looks pretty good except I would rank Heat as #3 or 4. I would put them ahead of Indiana and think about them being damn close to Phoenix. However, they do have to merge accurately and that is why I wouldn't put them any higher, especially with how in tact Spurs and Pistons stayed.
i'm only messing... but i do feel that toronto will not be the worst team in the nba.... who will? i'm not sure. i think atlanta are gonna be bad, but perhaps fun to watch, new orleans i think wont be able to put the disasters into the backs of their heads, and the bobcats are'nt going to win too many games again this season.... and you never know... maybe the blazers will click under macmillan
surprising upcomers? warriors, jazz, and maybe new york will do better than last season.

lol, actully i think the Bobcats will do better than the Raptors. Well, i dont know. All i know if i was a raptors fan i would still be pissed about them drafting Villaneuva so early. That was the stupidest pick i've ever seen in a while. Bobcats might be pretty good, didn't they draft Raymond Felton? He's really good, and they still have Okafor. But i dont expext Felton to be really good already, maybe in a couple of years.

I'm amazed the Lakers were ranked so high but i'll take it. Of course it only takes a few injuries or a team (Miami) not gelling and it all goes out the window.
Good to see you here Eraserhead. 😮💨
