WTF! 😆

NBA.com says that the Suns/Knicks games final score is 26-20 Knicks. I'm assuming that somebody on the site messed up but just kind of caught my eye.

Correction, it was the Hornets, not Knicks. The new abrieviations NOK threw me off.

Anyway, they fixed it. 🙁

Damn. I wanted triple OT between the Griz and Pistons.

yea, whats up with that NOK.....detroit is on a mission this year, and i couldn't be more pumped, they play portland next, Myth, i like ya, but your teams toast, May the Fonze be with you

I glad it didnt because i wasnt watching, so i would have been mad that i missed it. In NCAA there has already been a triple OT and a quadruple(yes, quadruple) OT.

I agree Detroit are playing some serious ball on both ends of the floor. I like how they have stepped it up offensively without slowing down their defense intensity. What does it take for the media to give props to the Pistons? I mean i'm a Laker fan and all but i dont mind admitting the Pistons are the best team in the league right now (might be different come the playoffs). All the media talk about is the Miami soap opera.

To put a little perspective on it, the Sonics were 17-3 last year at about this point. But then again, nobody expected Seattle to continue while Pistons have been proving themselves year in, year out. Hopefully my pathetic Blazers can pull this win out of their asses. Its early so not too important but the score is surprisingly 31-27 Blazers right now.

A couple other tidbits:

I'm really disappointed with how the Cavs have played this year. They started out great with a 8-straight streak but have had a losing record since.

There have been recent rumors of Artest going to Clips for Maggette or to Hawks for Al Harrington. I personally would rather him go to the Lakers.

Tim Hardaway wants the Heat to sign himself and Glen Rice (both about 40) to the team to guarantee a championship. I don't think that quite does the trick.

I found these quotes of Keyon Dooling funny (from a game vs Knicks obviously):
After D Howard dunked on Frye: "You better get used to that Channing! It's gonna happen all night!"
After a touch foul on Hill sending him to the line: "You can't touch Mr. Hill! Don't you know who that is?"
To Crawford (this one is my fav): "Jamal, as soon as you get it, shoot it, baby. Just put it up. Don't even hesitate. We WANT you to shoot it."

😆 Keyon Dooling taking over from Reggie as the trash talker of the league.
Dwight Howard is a monster and will be one of the elite PF in the league pretty soon, i was surprised the Magic drafted him ahead of Okafor last year but now i can see his unlimited potential. Im a big fan of Okafor but Howard has all the tools to be incredible.
Hopefully Artest will stay away from the Lakers (thanks for your concern though Myth), any trade to bring him to the Lakers will involve Odom and even though Odom is inconsistent i like his unselfish play and the other things he brings when he isnt scoring.
The Cavs for all the talent they acquired still are very soft inside. They have 2 pussy PF's in Gooden and Marshall and Z isnt mobile enough to be a defensive presence. I like their perimeter D with LeBron and Hughes but to take that next step they need some enforcers down low.
Lakers have the Mavs tonight at home, Kobe pulled us out the fire last time round in Dallas so hopefully the WHOLE team can play well tonight so he doesnt have to this time.

The Blazer/Piston game is still close in the mid-3rd, but Randolph is looking amazing. He is scoring at will and has 26 points with 7 remaining in the 3rd. His career high is only 34.

That rookie ref is horrible. There has been 4 mistakes in a row in Pistons favor.

Randolf gets fouled on his shot (an obvious slap on the wrist).
Wallace gets angry about a call and runs into the crowd (thats an auto-technical but the ref did nothing)
The ball on an imbounds pass was deflected back out by the Pistons. The refs didn't see it so gave it to Pistons.
Then Ratlif has a beautiful block but was called as a goal-tending for hitting the backboard first (replays showed that he slapped it at the backboard).

Well, I guess the game doesn't change anything anyway. And at least the Blazers lost by f*cking up themselves after still having a chance.

Kobe after 3 quarters: 62 points, 0 assists

F*cking incredible. Imagine if he played the 4th.

😱 What a performance by Kobe! He was pissed about losing their last game to the Rockets and the Mavs felt the backlash. What im most pleased about is he shot over 50%, so he was obviously feeling it as opposed to forcing bad shots. Damn i still cant believe it, even Phil Jackson said he'd never seen anything like it.

He should have played the 4th. Or at least most of it. The Lakers were home right? So the fans probaly felt disappointed that he didnt play the 4th because he might have gotten to at least 70, and possibly 80. But either way though Kobe just went crazy.

I would have pissed if he'd picked up an injury with us up by 30+ in the 4th.

It would have been worth the risk. This is going to be the most memorable thing he does all season. If he got injured then what? No championship? Come on, this is the bright spot of the season for Kobe and will stay that way. He might as well have tried to made it even brighter. I'm not a Kobe fan but even I'm curious to see what he could have done.

Ouch! True, but ouch. I guess i'd like to see this team develop and grow with Kobe assuming the leadership role. This is a season that he could prove alot of people wrong, not by bringing them a championship but by making the Lakers a decent team without Snaq.
I can see from a neutral standpoint it would have been interesting to see how many he could have scored and i am curious to. But as a Laker fan im pleased he sat and let the other guys play the rest of the game.

In all the quarters that Kobe plays, what is the chances that it would be that quarter? Its kind of like what one writer on ESPN.com said. What if Wilt sat out the 4th quarter of his 100 point game? They had a pretty big lead and it was not necessary for him to stay in. But by staying in and scoring as much as possible, it helped basketball as a whole. With Kobe, it would have only been good for basketball had he played.
