Remarkable era?

Give me a break. Kobe has been around for 10 years. Kobe has been amazing this year, but really, he just happened to have Shaq on his team.
Kobe might not even win the MVP this year.

man you buggin...

81 points, overcoming an 18 pt. deficit alone, 62 in 3qrts., outscoring an entire team in 3qrtrs., countless gamewinning shots... <----that = remarkable

give dude his props.

and for the record i meant "what's good man?" not "what's good ma?" LOL!

😆 I knew what you meant bro, i answer to both.

Yeah, I said he's having an amazing season.

But to say "remarkable era" its a little far-fetched.

If you said said "remarkable season", I would totally agree with you.

Anybody watch the Heat vs Cavs 4th quarter? I was disappointed the Cavs lost (badly) but Heat put on a nice show that will get some plays in the top 10 for the week.

My prediction for #1 on that list:
Wade dribbling down and at about half court was being forced out of bounds by Pavlovic. Wade dribbled the ball behind PAVLOVIC'S back and then lobbed it from just a couple steps past half court to Shaq for the alley-oop. Simply amazing play.
Wade also caught a nice alley-oop and did a double hand reverse dunk.
Wade also had a monster block on Pavlovic and threw it down the court for a big wide open dunk by Shaq.
Shaq got wrapped up at one point and flicked his wrist and got a 'chance' at a 3-point-play.

Mourning had 6pts, 6rbs, and 5blks in 17.5 minutes. Everybody else on Heat played pretty well too and LeBron was the only person who played decent at all on the Cavs.
This brings me to my next subject. I am beginning to really hate Pavlovic. There is really only 2 games where my focus has gone to him enough to notice but it was enough. The first game I'm referring to is when LeBron passed up the shots at the end and Pavlovic drove twice and f*cked up twice. This game, Pavlovic was a black hole. Everytime he touched the ball in the fourth, he f*cked up big time. I watched him do a horrible charge, pass the ball away, and got blocked or missed horribly everytime he shot. One of the blocks were when I swear Pavlovic had a wide open lay up but decided to do it in slow motion so Mourning could send it past the 3-point line. Pav had 8 points off 3-11 shooting (half of those misses were blocked, I swear), 4 turnovers, 4 fouls, 1 rebound, 1 assist in 37 minutes of play. I the f*ck did he start? Cavs need Hughes back big time.

Hhmmm, Pavlovic sounds like Odom at the moment.
I heard about the behind the back dribble and lob by Wade, that dude is in the top 10 every week.
Bron seems to be having the same problem with his teammates as last year, he will never get a run in the playoffs if the rest of the guys dont step up in the big games.
Mourning is such a defensive presence, the Heat look alot better on D when he is in the game.

With one major difference. Odom is pretty productive and then has a couple bad screw ups. Pavlovic does NOTHING and then f*cks up big time.

Usually id agree with you Myth, but lately Odom has been the invisible man.

I wouldn't say he's doing nothing. He is just disappointing right now compared to the usual Odom (which still isn't great). Either way, Odom recently still does a lot more than Pavlovic:

Odom vs Pacers (Odom's last game)
10 pts (4-12)
7 rebs
2 asts
0 turnovers
34 mins

Odom vs Knicks (2 games ago)
11 pts (4-7)
13 rebs
4 asts
3 stls
1 blk
5 turnovers
30 mins

Considerably better than what Pavlovic does.

Looking at Odoms stats for those last 2 games it doesnt actually look that bad (for a role player), but in reality he has been driving me crazy with his lazy play. For all the talent he obviously has its a shame he doesnt have the desire to take it to the All Star level that is well within his reach. If we had another consistent scorer to help Kobe out when he is doubled and tripled then Odoms game wouldnt be under the spotlight so much, but he is the next best option we have and he just doesnt seem to have it in him. But yes you got me, Odom >>>> Pavlovic.

Do you guys agree with the All Star Game selections? Personally I think that Garnett should have started instead of Nash and the same goes for Carter and Jermaine.

Yeah, I definitely agree he's been playing to a disappointing level as to what he should.

Numan - Nash deserves to start over Garnett this year. However, Garnett deserves to start over McGrady. McGrady has been hurt a lot this season and his team is doing awful. Then again, Brand and Nowitzki deserve to start over Garnett. Overall, there is just too much star power in western forwards.
As for Carter over Jermaine, that doesn't really matter because Jermaine is injured and Carter will most likely get that nod anyway. If not for his play, it would be in return for Carter giving his starting job to Jordan a couple years back when he didn't have too (although he was under tremendous pressure to do so). Also, Yao doesn't deserve to start. I would say Camby but with his lack of games (which is still 4 more than Yao) and likely wouldn't be able to start anyway, I'd say Okur should start and Brad Miller should back him up (which is sad that those are the best centers in the West behind Yao and Camby). Chris Kaman would be another option since his team is doing better than Utah and Sacramento although his play isn't as good.

Here is who I think deserves to be the starters (based on where they are on the ballot)
West:
Nash
Kobe
Brand (Duncan would usually fill this spot but his foot is slowing him down)
Dirk
Okur (this one is a toss up)

East:
Billups
Wade (followed closely by Iverson)
LeBron
Bosh (closely followed by Dwight Howard and Jermaine)
Ben Wallace

myth i agree about what you said, but i would definately have brad miller as the starter. and thank you for selecting bosh. i'm glad someone else recognises his good play🙂

It was a close choice in my mind between Miller and Okur. They have played about the same but Utah has a slightly better record and that was my deciding factor.

Why would the coach keep her in though?

My bad. It was high school.

i'm not sure if i'm happy or not... antonio brings in some nice inside muscle, but we lose a decent scorer in jalen. and a future first round pick. it does give the raps $10 million in cap space though, which is always useful

first of all, nash over garnett??? wtf ru talking about??? they play different positions. as for carter and jermain, they also play different positions, because carter is playing guard this year, and will b a reserve behing wade. i wanted him to play as a forward because he would have a much better chance at making the starting lineup this year over jermaine, not to say he would, but he would have a better chance. i agree with u on one thing though, chris kaman is having a breakout year even with elton brand on the team.

what ru guys talking about?? u guys r talking about a pf making it over a pg?? u people need to understand that in the nba, there r a certain amount of different positions. lol. there is 1 center, 2 guards, and 2 forwards. so 2 say u would want garnett over nash would mean 3pf,which u cant have. ill give u an example: for the east: the center-shaq, the 2 guards- iverson and wade, the 2 forwards, jermaine and lebron.

did u just repeat urself? or are you still getting used to this place?

um... i dont know what u mean by that, but i responded to 2 different posts, and i did not write exactly the same thing. before u try to make a point, learn to count, because as you have shown u do not know how many games there r in a season when u were talking about detroit possibly winning the most games in a season in nba history.

anyways, i think the eastern conference starters should have been... shaq, iverson/chris paul(deserved it just as much), carter, jermaine, and lebron

i think the starters for the west should have been steve nash, kobe, t-mac, elton brand, and yao.

0-20 from the field in the forth. UGH

I hope the Kings trade Bibby for Kirk Hinrich. I'm getting sick of Bibby making opposing mediocre point guards look like Isiah Thomas.
