Whether he is stupid or not is debatable - what isn't is that he is manipulative, he uses fear to sell his product, he has a track history of using bad sources to support his stances (including openly discredited ones), he makes claims like "Chick Tracts have converted millions" which can only be a lie since conversion rates for Christianity aren't large enough for "millions" to have been being converted by Tracts, he is a bit of a hate monger with his attacks on other faiths, incl. Christian faiths, he has the most stupid conspiracy theories around, his examples are absurd and have no real correlation with the real world (you're a Mason? You son tried to commit suicide because Satan got to him through your Masonary)...

I don't thing that Mr. Chick is stupid at all. I think he is a genius. He is a manipulating evil genius. Foolish would not be the word I would use. I would say he uses the "end justifies the means" just like Hitler did.
