I was watching an interview with James McAvoy (who won me over in atonement, he's delightful) and he was talking about how awkward it was to do that library scene with Keira since he's married--- and he said almost the exact same thing Johnny said--- that it was strange to kiss someone he wasn't in love with or something along those lines. And I thought, is it some kind of weird pact between actors that they have to say those things in interviews? C'mon. You're kissing Keira Knightley, or vice versa. Keira had no problem saying she enjoyed it, and she wasn't in love with Johnny. Why do actors have to feel they can't enjoy something or at least be okay with it in interviews, simply because they are in love with someone else?

After all, we all see the kiss of Sparrabeth as a pinnacle of chemistry, angst, hotness, etc... and none of us imagine Keira and Johnny to be in love. So why does Johnny have to kill the magic in interviews by complaining of its awkwardness?

I'm rambling quite a bit- sorry.

Maybe it's because the Paparazzi has never been as bad as they are now!! They are ridiculous now and any little thing celeberties say gets twisted and if Johnny had said..."Oh Keira! yes she's a great kisser. I enjoyed it and I would do it again." The paps would interpret it as "JOHNNY DEPP's SECRET ROMANCE WITH MUCH YOUNGER CO-STAR KEIRA KNIGHTLY!" Paps are horrible these days! So it's actually smart on their part to say things like that! Clear the air b4 anything gets started 🙁

Like for example not to long ago I saw in mag. a pic of Angelina Jolie and James McAvoy kissing and the title read "Brad Left Embarressed When Angelina took things to far with co-star James McAvoy!" the pic was taken of them shooting a scene together for an upcoming movie!

It's true though Johnny does do love scenes but they are never too graphic but still very hott!! Honestly I find things like him passing his fingers over a womans clevage like in The Libertine and such very satisfying!! That alone is HOT and at times it's all we get! lol

Well at the time they did COTBP yes Keira was 17 and Johnny was actually 39 at the time! still a huge age difference but it sounds better than 17 and 44!! lol

I think all actors feel awkward doing kissing or sex scenes, however professional they are. Imagine everyone looking at you naked for example. Or worse, having the director to shift your backside so that the lights won't bounce off it and affect the camera angle or something like that 😆

Anyway, I think Johnny likes making out (privately of course) judging from the young age when he lost his virginity and from the various gorgeous girlfriends he had in the past. He is sexy, period. But he hates to admit it, maybe for fear of letting egotism get into his head and his craft. He probably knows he's sexy too, otherwise how the hell can he give us those hot pics?
