I'll bet the first thing you use to defend yourself when someone tells you you're too young to do something is the fact that, at 14, you feel like an adult.Yet when you're asked to take responsibility for something, as an adult, you use the excuse that, at 14, you're a child.
I was 14 once. I did exactly the same thing. You're either one or the other, if you're going to participate in discussions with adults as an adult, then act like one when you're called out.
I didn't feel like an adult at the age of 14... Far from it... 😬

Yeah, but I can remember wanting to be treated like an adult when it suited, in certain situations. Then on other occasions I wanted the leniency given to children, you know?

Exactly, I can remember vividly what puberty felt like, don't worry! Half the time it's the full on Peter Pan complex and the rest of the time you're an insufferable know-it-all who's capable of anything. Quite the conundrum 🙄
What I'm saying is, if you're going to have a dig at someone because they're acting immaturely, then don't defend yourself against someone saying the same to you by stating your age.
smoker4, that'll never change. Men are always 4 years behind women these days. Used to be that they eventually caught up once they'd passed puberty, but I think most men sit back and use it as an excuse to act up 😄

The 4 years thing might explain my dating habits 😂
As in, always going for younger women so you can feel superior? 😛
You guys are supposed to match us mentally and emotionally by a certain age, but I think it's changing. My fella's got three years on me and sometimes I wonder if his birth certificate's wrong 😗

😆I think, in retrospect, you'll come to the conclusion that you're the stuck up one in this scenario. Why would you be so confident she'd say yes? Couldn't there possibly be some other reason she was denying your advances? Save for the obvious, she just didn't fancy you, did it ever cross your mind that maybe she had a boyfriend or was seeing someone and wanted to let you down as gently as possible? Maybe, in this instance, she was the one being mature and polite, while you are the arrogant ass 🙂
Haha, don't be offended or think I'm just another stuck up chick, I hate those types. But if you do yourself a favour and read through what you've written whilst seeing it from another perspective, you might see what I mean.
