Why must we be ready for his imminent return? I mean its not like we have to be prepared or anything for a party. People have been dying in droves for over a thousand years without him returning. Why should it matter when he returns? It happens it happens.
No need to sit on the edge of ones couch watching the clock wondering "Maybe Jesus just arrived somewhere in the world!"

But why is it important we await for his return? We go about our lives. Why wait? All these people from the centuries before waited, and nothing happened.
Live your Christian life, if he comes he comes, if he doesn't he doesn't. No reason to be all expectant.
