USH'S MATRIX GAME 2006- Training Mission

Turns go through your team leader, Melkor!

Ok, Melkor comes bursting in, firing at the lower statues. With no Eagle Eye and not being a super gunner, this is entirely hopeless and goes nowhere.

Mors launches a mean attack on Go-Yu, tapping Jade and Scales. His mentals are too high to be affacted by the Go's defensive powers, but his roll yields only three successes, which is still 11 damage.

Hawk engages both with his swords. He IS affected by their defence, and rolls six dice against both. He scores one success and two successes, for damages of four and five.

Burn and Ares are opening up on San, both even tapping 10000 Bullets for the occasion. Burn has seven dice; he rolls three successes for six damage (at that range), but then misses. Ares rolls three successes for five damage... and then also misses! Doh!

Cloud is bringing in Silver Prince and launches a leapy attack on Yu. He rolls very well- six successes and a bonus! Though again, Unstoppable damage does not help much there. Eleven damage does though!

Helios fires at Burn, but again, lower pool and defended target and through cover, that was just a wasted shot.

Sirin goes for cover and finds it in the form of the pillar holding up the balcony above. She then fires at a turret. Just two successes.

Klez opens up on a turret as well. Three successes.

Azrael fires at Burn. Burn actually has no defence there, and Azrael rolls well, landing three successes past the cover for four damage.

Barb blasts away at Ares, still with no defence. Two successes is four damage.

One Go attacks Mors and another attacks Hawk. Mors takes just two damage, but Hawk takes five and is Thrown! The Knights attack also, missing Hawk entirely but hitting Mors for six.

Melkor has run into three statues who get chopping. One misses, but it is still ten damage.

The Gos double up on Cloud again, but miss totally and one even triggers a defensive bonus on it. He is in no position to use one, though.

Then two turrets fire at Sirin and two at Klez. The first one at Sirin rolls well enough to destroy her cover. Then- because Sirin has clearly decided not to use Bullet Time- the second hits her for another four damage. Klez is simply shot up for 9.

Joker! Refresh!

Cloud- which of SP or SS?

I am ruling that the melee at far/right/midfloor is too crowded to fire into now.

Ariadne...

.... isn't commenting because she is just bashing her head against the keyboard as she watches the Percy team.

Ok, made some errors for the Shez team there. Hold on whilst I update.

Also, Joker! It's a refresh turn. Will update that too.

Corrected. Fewer errors than I thought.

Ok stupid question...
Does KW only work on hand to hand or does Azreal have the same Charisma?

He has a high Charisma.

ah ok.

Would Ares be able to pick up Firewall's hardware?

Nah

Use the General Discussion thread, methinks. ermm I know you're dead, Aliies, and you're probably bored, but this is an incentive to not die next time. 😛

Ok, here goes... Helios moves up. Doesn't fire though. Odd. Similar deal with Sirin.

Burn takes fire from Klez and Azrael, but that's pretty irrelevant because he taps Storm Turtle.

Barb isn't keeping an eye on his ammo; his half-pool shot goes nowhere also.

Cloud returns to his Emperor stance as he goes for Go-Yu. Going-Yu, we call that. Two successes is eight damage!

Whilst Melis goes knifey knifey on Ya, with eight dice a go. She scores an impressive five successes, then one (which leaves a bonus open, which Ya uses to Block her), and then two. Total damage of 11.

Meanwhile...

Mors brings Jade Emperor back in with Defensive Master, and taps King on the Water to avoid all incoming harm. He rolls a reasonable three successes, for nine damage.

Hawk goes nutso and taps PM to engage both twins and the nearby Knights. His first Knight attacks socres six successes, not enough through the armour but he gets the bonus, giving him two extra dice from the * rating, rolls another success and kills it! He then gets very close to doing the same again to Knight two, but is just one short.

He's really on fire; he rolls six successes and a bonus against Yu for ten damage, although only two for five against Ya.

Ares and Burn move along the balcony. Burn's tap of Storm Turtle goes ahead, but Ares was under such rubbish half-fire from Barb that I did not bother, and so that stays untapped.

They then fire at the Knights by the exit door. Ares's first shot is rather contempitible and inflicts one hit. His second is a bit better, and scores two. Burn does better, scoring three hits.

Melkor staves up and goes for his Knights! It doesn't go well though; only one hit a piece past their armour.

Bad guys! Ok, well, just because Percy didn't take a chance to fire at them, the Elire mooks up the top on the right are certainly not going to hold back. They open fire, making that one attacker for each of the five that are up there. A few hits there, though they miss Barb.

In the leftwards Melee, we basically just have Yu attacking Hawk, with a Throw bonus. It is a poor attack though; just two siccesses for three damage.

Melkor is in luck- two Knights miss, so he takes just the one hit for six damage.

The B Twins split their attacks on Cloud and Melis. Full pools against both, it seems. Three damage to Cloud, and two to Melis.

Not the best time for it, Mors- but then, is it ever? Your phone rings.

I assume it's an action to answer the phone?

In any case, Mors will answer.

You can kinda do it whilst fighting; I'll let it slip for this one.

It's Dallas.

"What in the name of **** **** are you **** guys *** thinking *** you are *** *** ***** ** doing??! You got your **** guys firing at the **** knights keyed to ****** fight the **** Percys!"

"Sorry, Captain," Mors says, then turns and shouts for the gunners to change their targets...
