He quickly contacts Galder.
" Look....i know it sounds crazy but try and go slow at the next lap entry"

It was the final straight, the end of lap 3.

Something wasn't quite right about it all though, Takuan...

Well, good!

It's hard to know what to concentrate more on, as both Mogarian pods are involved in blatant shunting incidents in the Narrows. The other Mogarian is smashed from behind by Orthodox, but both manage to stay steady. Galder plows very nastily into Quadro, and as they head into the twists, Quadro is looking very wobbly indeed...

NOW ENTERING: The Twists, lap 2

The crowd is getting louder and louder as the halfway point is reached...

But it was the way they just cut out like that, Takuan,,, they didn't evemn start to fizzle first, Galder had no warning at all! And the way it all seemed... you feel this was no accident!

could Ascar frame us and hire one to take Gald out? Takuan asks himself. He gives it a little more thought before contacting Gald again.
" and another thing......try to keep a safe distance from other pods...as much as not to become vulnerable to ramming too much. Especially on the end of lap 3. Something's not right."
He then retreats to his seat and starts a form of silent meditation he's been wanting to practice. His focus is on gald's pod.

You try and get a better idea of what it is you predicted... it was so fast and random! It just... cut out... there must have been some reason...

You are sure if it was a malfunction it would flicker and slowly go. Galder, especially with his Jedi senses (unrefined as they are) would HAVE to have known there was a problem! This was sudden and happened at the worst possible time!

some sort of explosion device rigged on the pod before the race even began.Not likely but possible. thinks Takuan

Nah, you were with that pod all night. And it certainly didn't seem to blow, to any extent at all!

But... there was SOMETHING... something else... maybe if you concentrate some more the Force will provide ansers...

Takuan exerts all his focus on deepening his concentration. He's now at a deeper meditating level in search for an answer. Pacience is a virtue though time is short. He can almost not hear the cheering crowd anymore.

The crowd is ecstatic as the first casualties are scored. Quadro, left unsteady by the vicious shunting Galder gave him, wobbles dangerously through the twists and on the third turn one of his four engines is ripped off afater a nasty collision with the wall. Quadro's pod collapses to the ground and spins to a halt, just avoiding smalling into another wall.

Worse is at the reat. Twisty tries to nip by Bashy but tikes it all wrong. Bashy gleefully shunts him. Twisty is sent out of control and races at full speed into a wall. Some of the crowd is on its feet and yelling with glee.

The other Mogarian takes the section skilfully and is trying to make te places to the front; Galder still is a way behind but still has one more fast section to go through!

Takuan, you have something. You are watching the destruction of Galder's pod, over and over again... and there is something in the air, like a fizzle or heat-haze, that zooms from ground level to Galder's pod, and THEN it gos haywire.

Some sort of weapon! This is an assassination!

(small odds of winning the race, eh?)
a damn sniper thinks Takuan. he slowly intrerupts the meditation and slowly gets up looking in the direction of where the supposed shot will come. He's ready to go for him if he sees something.

(He has two fast sections coming his way soon to make up time on)

The shot came from ground level. You are in the stands. If anything, it came from UNDER you.

He stares at the lower seatings searching for a weapons. Such precision to aim at a pod would imply a pretty big size of the gun. Possibly even room to take off after the shot.

Even the lowest seat is far too high.

As soon as he realises that he gets up again and heads fro the lowest seat. he can sea the closest part to the wall of the arena. That's where he must be.

He couldn't be on the track, that would be too blatant... but underneath the seating there is a maze of construction pipes and shafts and what-not...

plenty of hiding space down there...but how do i gain acces he thinks still looking down at the seats
