It is a spurious doctrine and has no basis in Scripture...and is false. When Jesus Christ saved me from my sins with His BLOOD...ONCE FOR ALL...I left the Catholic Church: "For Christ also hath ONCE suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that He might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit." [1 Peter 3:18]. Evidently you do not know your church's doctrine or what it implies...for if you did [and were honest with yourself] you could not believe it...for it is based on a passage in 2 Maccabees 12:39-45, which is a Jewish book written after the close of the OT...an apocryphal writing not acknowledged as authentic. If you wish, I will explain it all in my next post to you.
I do not post this with the intention to offend you for I know that you are sincere in your belief system. However, I must be truthful with my dealings with all men for my Saviour's sake that all may be saved.
