The definiton came form Merriam-Webster Online Dictionary.

The entry should be cited then, but that is neither here nor there, I rebutted your argument that used the term "temporary" as basis.

Hell is not temporary in terms of folks (who have died in their sins) getting out of torment. They are basically held there in Hell until they stand before God and are not found written in the Lamb's Book of Life. Then they are cast into the lake of fire. Death and Hell will be cast into the lake of fire as well.

That reminds me of Egyptian mythology. That must be th origin on the Christian Judgment myth.

So then, they leave Hell to be Judged. Currently Hell is temporary. Hell is no longer temporary after Judgement

Ding, ding, ding, Charley tell Regret what he has won: Regret you have one a King James Bible with all the trimmings: a highlighter, pen, notebook, and personal one-on-one teaching session with JesusIsAlive. Uh...well, I kinda added the JesusIsAlive thing as a bonus.

Charley, is that a reference?

Again, if you would care to do some research on Catholism, you'll find that much of what we belive isn't in the Bible. Unlike your everyday protestant, we have this thing called "tradition", which accounts for most of our beliefs about Mary, since there is hardly any information about her in the Bible. It's all pieces of information that have been passed down through the ages.
And since it is a Catholic doctrine, and Catholism is a form of Christianity, by the transitive property (levae me alone, I was just in math class), it is obviously a Christian doctrine.

Even if I was, would it take away from the fact that you don't know what you're talking about?

Yeah, you woke up on the wrong side of the litter box this morning (just kidding put the pooper scooper down woman).

Does hell fit the definition of Purgatory? I believe remorse to be a necessary part of Hell, do you disagree then?

No, I still do not agree. I agree with Jesus and His Word (the Bible). Why do you believe remorse to be a "necessary" part of Hell? Once a person dies in their sins it is too late. They had all of the time in the world to feel remorse when they were still breathing.

Let me illustrate this. Is it better to tell those whom you love (one last time before they die) that you love them, or wait until after they are dead to tell them one last time. Ahhh, sooo, vetty, goood, you tell them before they die because if you wait until after they are dead it would be too late..

Yes, that's hell. Purgatory is a place of solemn prayer for those who were not able to get into Heaven automatically, but not evil enough to go to Hell. Those in purgatory will be judged on Judgement Day, much lke the world will.

That is unscriptural.

The Catholic leaders have made the Word of God (the Bible) of no effect through their traditions that they have handed down and many such things that they do. Furthermore they teach as doctrines the commandments of men. They have a form of godliness but deny the power thereof.

Mark 7:13
making the word of God of no effect through your tradition which you have handed down. And many such things you do.”

Mark 7:7
And in vain they worship Me,Teaching as doctrines the commandments of men.’

2 Timothy 3:5
having a form of godliness but denying its power. And from such people turn away!

Hah. Sexist bigot.

Yes, they have used the holy book to effect. From your words, I can see you've never talked to a Catholic priest. The Catholic ideas are based directly off of the bible, just like any Protestant sect's belief.

No they are not, they are nowhere near the Bible.

So beliefs in the Body and Blood of Christ don't have anything to do with the Last Supper? The stance against homosexual priests isn't taken from Paul's writings? The belief of Deacon has nothing to do with the Acts of the Apostles?

Don't talk about something you don't know about.

You need to stop looking at propaganda and honestly learn something on your own.

No kidding. I liked this part "Historical note: Roman Catholics borrowed the idea of praying with beads from the pagan religions who were already using them hundreds of years before"

😆

All Christian religions came from the Catholics Church. It is like a child saying that their mother did not give birth to them. 🙄
