Agreed.

Exactly. Spidey has put his life on the line to save those he hates most! HATES! I remember in one issue where Spidey is on the urge of death, Electro(at super-duper power) asks Spiderman why he is fighting fo valiantly against a being such as himself just to save people who hate him and wish him dead. The reply? Because he has the power to do so, and with great power comes great responsibility.

I thought Thing recently failed to lift it in FF before DB took it in one of the subsequent issues?

He said something like he was curious?

yeah, im pertty sure thing recently attempted it, and couldent lift it* i know what comic your talking about
like the ff issue before the last one, 2 issues ago?

Power has nothing to do with it 😐

Nor could anyone else who isnt worthy

Who is worthy...

Cap
Beta Ray Bill
Black Panther
Hal Jordon
Superman
Wonder Woman
Thing
Darkseid
Dr. Doom
ect...

However most recently it seems that only Thor can pick it up 😬

Superman?
Thing?
Darkseid?
Doom?
Jordan?(he might be able to do it, but judging by his past, very doubtful)

There are a good bit of Ultramen worthy enough to hold Thor's mighty hammer.

Ultraman
Ultraman Zoffy(he's taken so much punishment, yet STILL goes)
Ultraseven(original)
Ultraman Jack
Ultraman Ace
Ultraman Father(pretty much TV's Odin)
Ultraman Leo
Ultraman King(one of the most powerful and rightious heros ever)
Ultraman 80
Yullian(the new heir of the Nebula M78)
Ultraman Tiga
Ultraman Gaia
Ultraman Nexus/Noa
Ultraman(The Next)
Ultraman Max
Ultraman Mebius(he'll grow into earth's greatest hero)
Ultraman Hikari(a true warrior at heart)

I'm not sure of the other Ultras. Taro may have too much hatred in him, don't know enough about Astra, Ultraman Jonias is too one sided for the better of good and not lives, never saw USA, never saw Great, Powered was just...there, Dyna was way too whiny, Agul had WAY too much hatred and violence in him, don't know enough about Cosmos, and never saw Justice.

How do you know this?

"No unworthy living being can lift the hammer from the ground.

People who have lifted it are:

Mainstream (Earth 616)

~Odin
~Captain America
~Beta Ray Bill
~Buri (alias Tiwaz, Thor's paternal great-grandfather)
~Red Norvell (with the aid of gauntlets)
~Eric Masterson (both before and after merging with Thor)

Other

~Superman in Avengers/JLA #4 (2003), but a few pages later he cannot lift it. Explanation was given by Thor that someone might wield Mjolnir shortly if the situation calls for it to happen.
~Wonder Woman in Marvel vs. DC #3 (1996)
~Magni (son of Thor in "Thor, Lord of Earth" future)
~Woden (son of Thor in the Guardians of the Galaxy future)
~Dargo Ktor ("Once and Future Thor" future)
~Ultimate Hulk (in the Ultimate Avengers Movie), Although this version of the hammer has been implied to not be of mystic origins. "

I got that on Wiki: Mjolnir , not sure how accurate it is though.

The only requirement that seems to be followed, is that the person must be a warrior of noble heart and honor. Other than that there is no real pattern I can see, and in the case of Ultimate Hulk it doesn't seem to follow that pattern.

I would be willing to bet that Orion is possibly worthy. True warrior spirit, honorable for sure. In my opinion he could wield the hammer.

Black Panther would most likely be able to lift the hammer as well, he is one of the most honorable and warrior-like characters in marvel and would seem to easily fit the criteria.

If all it took was being honorable and warrior-like(or having a warrior-spirit) then almost every Asgardian and likely most normal superheroes would be able to lift it.

Good point, which why I added Balder to the first list of possibles.
I think gods like Fandal and Hogrim disqualify because they harbor some character weakness not present in Thor. Which would mean the qualities are very subtle and precise. So ppl like Hawkeye, ironman although warriors willing to make major sacrifices are still lacking in some unknown quantity.

Cap wanted to protect Asgard?!? 🤨

No, Midgard. He would want to protect Asgard if he could do anything about it.

I belive the criteria to be able to weild the hammer is to be ... honerable, brave, loyal, compassionate, fierce, honest, trustworthy, strength of chareter, and with no trace of evil lurking around.

the superheros who fit that description are :

Captian Marvel (Shazam)
Captian America
Quasar
Black Bolt
Bushido (teen titans)
Nightwing
Spider-Man

there has to be more to it than just honor
