Someone pulls a 10 inch knife and slices/cuts me on the chest.

Naturally the stab would do more damage.

Someone can take the same 10 inch knife and slice/cut through a sink pipe.
Someone can take the same 10 inch knife and not be able to stab through the sink pipe.
Naturally the slice/cut would do more damage.

In Wolvies and Colossus's case, he cant slice/cut nor stab. I believe there were only sparks when he tried.

Point is Colossus's metal isnt just normal metal. If it was, Wolvie would have no problems putting a slash in it wouldnt you agree?

Some may say its because Colossus's body is metal on the inside and out and Wolvie just isnt strong enough to penetrate, but them again him not being able to even MARK Colossus hit little to do with his strength. You dont want to face the fact that Wolvie just cant slice Colossus.

Same could almost be said about Omega Reds tentacles. They sure as hell arent thick towards the end, yet Wolvie cant seem to cut through them. Is it because hes not strong enough? No. Maybe its just because he cant cut through.😬

Point is if I try to slash something but I can't even leave a little scratch then chances are I won't be able to penetrate it

If Wolvies claws can cut through anything, why is it that he cant even put a SCRATCH on Colossus's body? He wouldnt have to be superstrong in order to do so. And with all the strength feats that people like Capt it Up and others post, he should at least be able to do that. Unless Wolvie would have to be 60cl and up just to scratch Colossus's body😬

why do people try to go around my statements? i already answered that penetration is much stronger then a slash because when you penetrate you press all that sharp object right into the body, it consitrate on small area and penetrates it if you got enough power of course, when you slash you just make half contact and all the force goes horizontal , and idiots like grimm22 that compare themselves to wolverine sould really read some wolverine comics and not hate him just because he owned orange piece of rock

Slashing isnt exactly half contact and it can be vertical as well. However is the case of Wolverine vs Colossus, if he was able to, force nor angle should matter. Wolverine "Can cut through anythiny!", so him merely scratching anything with his claws should leave a mark no matter how dense. It can still be debated that if Wolvie was 60cl and up, hed be able to penetrate Colossus's body, but we'd never know. However theres no excuse for him not even being able to put a single scratch on him. Only minimal force would be needed for that, IF it/he were capable of such a feat. I respect your opinion though and will have to agree to disagree.

First of all, yes, in general, a stab is going to penetrate better than a slash. But in some cases it will be equal.
There are cases were one is able to cut (put a scratch mark on) a hard material through slashing and not be able to stab any deeper than that slash. For example, I can cut a hard stone with a sharp knife through slashing. But when I try to stab the stone with all my force, the knife goes no deeper than the slash cut.

But what if I couldn't put a scratch on the stone through the slash? That would imply that I can't even stab through it more than scratch deep.

But even with that said. Colossus won't sit there and let wolverine stab freely all he wants. He will grab wolverine and swing him like a rag doll into the ground over and over until wolverine is unconscience. Or grab them both and swing them into each other over and over until they both are unconscience. And he is fast enough to grab each of these characters. He has caught rockets, spiderman, and other fast objects on numerous ocassions.
