By eating the apple, Eve became aware of 'good' and 'evil'. This, combined with her blatant disobedience of the one command God gave her, caused problems.

1) It shows you are ruled by fear...2) She had no concept of the consequences since all she knew was goodness...she didn't even know what evil was. It was not her fault, God should have never allowed Satan in the garden in the first place, should he?
Why did God allow Satan there in the first place ?
1Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden?2And the woman said unto the serpent, We may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden:
3But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die.
4And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die:
5For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil.
She knew the consequences. She, as Lucifer, fell victim to the sin of pride--"to be as gods".
EDIT: Gah, that KJV translation makes my mind hurt. And the grammar is something else.
1 Now the serpent was more crafty than any of the wild animals the LORD God had made. He said to the woman, "Did God really say, 'You must not eat from any tree in the garden'?"2 The woman said to the serpent, "We may eat fruit from the trees in the garden, 3 but God did say, 'You must not eat fruit from the tree that is in the middle of the garden, and you must not touch it, or you will die.' "
4 "You will not surely die," the serpent said to the woman. 5 "For God knows that when you eat of it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil."
