Caps has thrown his shield at high speeds multiple times in continuity, thats why its not PIS, it wasn't a one time thing.
Caps JAw was hanging off because he was fighting H2H with Extremis almost the entire battle, he took hits from Extremis and kept getting back up, then Tony did the sound frequency thing and Cap got right back.

Yes, but keep in mind, Iron man clearly didnt want to kill Cap. Im sure he had it at a frequency that would cause extreme pain but not death or serious injury. He even said something along the lines of "So we dont have any broken bones"
or something of that nature
regarding why he was using the sound device
cap cant hurt the thing thats it, his shield wont make much trouble to the thing , and again do you think ben is just going to stand and take a strike from the shield? he can actually you know catch it? counter it? and even if it hits it want make much damage to him he is too durable to be harm by some shield, he took hits from hulk namor juggernaut , was blasted by mega lasers, hit by buses tracks and nothing happened to him, but a shield should take him out .... right how didn't the hulk think about it? why to hit the thing with punches that can open the ground and break mountains if you just can throw a shield and he is down 🤨
