You got to bear in mind he is a villain, sometimes villains lose when they are not supposed to. Rhino has also been owned by alot of people its not that Rhino is rubbish its PIS. If you look at Kangs credentials he should actually be able to beat Batman one million. Time travel is one of the most advanced things you can do and he is a specialist in it.
