The U.S. Constitution does not mention Buddha, Allah, or any other god. But the Constitution signers acknowledge the Lord. There was no need to say, "...in the year of our Lord ...." for the Constitution to be binding.

So

well thats the problem with this nation today. we have forgotten what our fathers have said. heck, we tried taking out in god we trust...i mean we used to be so far ahead of everyone...now look at us, fighting a war and really it dont look like it is going to end

and you point is?

my point is we need to go back to what g.washington and all them had to say

western calender years are based on the birth of christ. WOW!!! 😱
i thought it was just a cooincidence that he was born on 0000 and that B.C. means before christ. you cracked the mystery WIDE OPEN!!!!!

You think saying "the year of our Lord" actually means anything?

It's a fancy/formal way of saying A.D.

Talk about finding false meaning in everything.

Congratulations, you've reached a whole new level of irrelevance.

Yes we do, we need to have all the slaves back and women to go back into the kitchen. 😛

we have women in the kitchen today...i never said they were perfect, and if u look back into history, tons of people sold themselves into slavery so they could have the necessities. and for the record, slaves weren't treated as bad as they make it out to be

Slavery has always existed ..........even today in some countries.........I'm not saying it's right, but it just is..........Slaves believe in god, and what did that do for them.

In time we will change that. 😆

Why should people believe in Jesus? Because you say so?

What you believe is your business alone, and you've no place telling others they should believe something.

not becuz i say so..i mean believe what u want i never told u to believe anything. i said we SHOULD. i mean whatever u believe in im sure u think others SHOULD believe in. if no one else believed in it chances r u would not have as much faith as u would if tons of people believed in it

You wanted to go back to the mentality of the Founding Fathers, that is where it came form, the mentality back then was that slaves were property and can be treated as such and women were second class citizens just to name a few.

Yes they all weren’t mistreated but the vast majority were from rape, murder and beatings just to name a few unless you count that they were taken from their homes and families and taken into a life of servitude then yes they all were.
