I dont think Will swam round from there..I think he may have got off after it plunged into the sea and clambered on shore on the N/W end of the island.. this was long after the compass pointed S/W at Jack.

It also shows us that Will was nearby and it didnt point to him it still pointed to the chest and when she got to that it still didnt point at Will it pointed to Jack..

Will and Elizabeth will be together. They work incredibly well together...they don't even have to speak to each other to know what the other one is thinking. Elizabeth risked everything to be with Will, and Will risked everything to be with Elizabeth.

I don't think the writers will be focusing on J/E, but rather on Will and Elizabeth working towards mending their differences and getting together. To have anything else would be an unsatisfactory end. The triangle has been resolved by the end of DMC...Jack is out of the picture. Will and Elizabeth are the ones left together.

they are all standing in a triangle shape (love triangle?) Liz is on the chest/heart..her heart..I think the heart resembles her because it seems to foreshadow what happens to her later on in DMC and at the start of AWE...(plus ragetti does that weird thump thump thing rightin her face. and she's like WTF?)

So ya Will is like definately gonna kill DAVY...i mean he practically says it in DMC...."I will not rest until this Blade pierces his heart," he said this to his father!! Then he tells Jack "I keep the promises i make Jack" so ya total foreshadowing there!!!! sorry i heard that agin last night while watching DMC again...and just wanted to share!!! lol
