sweetheart, i really dont think norri's death has ANYTHING to do with the budget. like you said, these movies are making a fortune. whatever they think it will take to bring audiences in, they will pay for. plus, its disney. they always have money floating around.
i'm sure it has more to do with actor schedules and storylines.
jack davenport is wicked cool... i'm sure he doesnt want to be pegged by hanging around the pirate movies too long. ya know?

im a huge norri fan too... but i think it will be okay, even if he dies. cause we still get him in all 3 films, looking hott, right???
plus, this will probably make his character even hotter and more popular. they will make more merchandise for him and stuff. 😄

Well, I don't think any character is being cut because of budget issues. So anything said to that effect is probably false.
I don't think they'd be writing the fourth movie yet until they see how the third one does in theatres. The story that was shared here sounds rather suspicious to me, and I have a feeling that it might be the truth horribly twisted...or out-right false.
I am STILL not convinced that Will will die. Everything in the first movies points to Will and Elizabeth hooking up, regardless of how pretty Jack and Elizabeth look together. Aside from two, possibly three flirty scenes, you see nothing of LOVE between them, only a surface of lust.
There are some pretty good sources out there that indicate Will and Elizabeth will end up together. So we shall see. 🙂
Heck, we could all be wrong and Elizabeth runs off with Barbossa! ( Or Norrington! 😍 )

Jack is definitely the most fun of the characters, but a movie with him in it would require another foil like Will, otherwise Jack would just piss people off.
Seriously. If you took a minute to think about how aggravating Jack really, really is, you'd enjoy Will a bit more. 😉 Will is a necessary ingredient in the success of the films, and to lose him would really lessen the greatness of these films.

I don't find Jack aggravating at all...I do really really watch him and every scene he is in is witty, fun, passionate and electrifying...I've see DMC 6 times...in the theatre...and after the first viewing...If I needed a bathroom break or a popcorn run..I left while Will had his scenes on the Flying Dutchman...because they were BORING...because as all the critics have so graciously pointed out...Orlando's portrayal of Will Turner was less than exciting and lacked depth...sorry only telling you what critics said...
And yes, if you take POTC 1 - then the movie would have never worked without William Turner...but I don't think the clues point to him and LIZ...every underlying clue, symbolism and verbal comment in DMC and even some from POTC 1 point to JACK and LIZ....but, tired of pointing this out...it's tiresome and pointless....cuz if you don't want to see it...oh well...it's okay...cuz I know you have your own underlying clues and symbolisms and theories that point to a Will/LIz pairing..and I don't see them, so we're square...

Jack is a pirate. He steals from everyone. If you had him over to your house, he would steal something from you. He doesn't hold that much loyalty in him to NOT be able to take from you. He's a shameless flirt, has no problem invading personal space, and is wholey, completely, self-centered.
Still loads of fun to watch. 😉

Well Jack can steal from me anything. I would invite him to my house in a hearbeat. IMO Jack is the way he is, because life has turned him that way. He learned how to get the things he wanted by being a pirate. I guess Jack didn't have an easy life, I see his character as a strong man, that has strive for the things he has and needs in order to survive life. Wich it wasn't easy in those times.
