The clones have way more character and way more depth that is physiologically possible with stormtroopers. Their intelligence, depth, culture, abuse, and the nature of the Clone Wars gives them this...stormies can never have any of those things.

Stormtroopers look cool...Clone Troopers look lame. Snowtroopers look awesome...ARC Troopers look like clowns...Biker Scouts look sweet...(insert random pick from one of the many unisinspired, thrown-together crap troopers in ROTS)...look darn ugly.
I'm an artist too, and that's my opinion...even if you think it's dumb.

By sith, a couple of the Phase II variants start to look alright (like Commander Appo of the 501st)...because they're basically slightly altered stormtroopers at that point. Phase I is just another failed and ugly attempt at linking the PT to the OT.
I think thats rather unfair... then again, to each their own n all...

Stormtroopers are awesome, thats true... if only they could shoot straight... 😛
On the other hand, I don't think a Clone Trooper strikes the same chord with me or with a lot of other Star Wars fans...simply because it's just not that great.
Stormtroopers are iconic, clones were introduced in what many feel is the worst of the star wars movies... not very fair is it?
And when it comes to the ARC trooper...I think it's hideous.
😬 as i said, to each their own...
and as far as the pt goes, the clones are, imo, one of the greatest contributions to the saga made by the pt...
and i love scout troopers too, but i liked rotj too... 😛
