mr m who created the infinity gems,
The Infinity Being, which comprised the Totality of the previous Universe,
(before Galactus was created)
committed suicide due to loneliness, but before it destroyed itself,
it imbued the Six Gems with it's power, and a Seventh Gem with it's consciousness,
it also created the the Current Marvel Omniverse.
Thanos said the (Original) Infinity Being was:
"This Being was the only Living Thing that Existed within Any and ALL Realities"
"ALL That Was and ALL that Was Was it "
Then Thanos says, I wouldn't blame you for calling it "GOD" ...
What other name would fit?
(which makes sense)
"ALL That Was Was already Part of Itself ... there was NO Other in it's Life"
"It chose to put an End to itself ...
from it's Ashes rose ALL That is currently Reality ... in ALL it's many forms"
Diana of the Dark Shoppe (of another Universe) basically tells the same tale:

also how was it decided who would be the bearers of each gem
thanks
The Living Tribunal ordered Warlock to disperse the Gems between 5 other beings:
Warlock chose the 5 other beings on his own, which then became,
Warlock and the Infinity Watch team.

the infinity being is very intriguing indeed.where theoretically would you place the infinity being in the hierarchy list, some where around toaa/hotu.
thanks
Good question.
Tough one to answer,
IMO, based on FF#511,
TOAA/God is the Artist (God) and the Writer (TOAA) of any given story, so that inconsequential,
But technically speaking,
the Infinity Being would have been right below them,
followed by the LT and the True Beyonders.
When you look upon the plot devices Thanos have possessed you notice something, Heart of the Infinite--could this possibly be refering to powers of the Infinite being, that made the Infinity Gems?
But on the other hand, Thanos and Warlock when wielding the Gauntlet made such claims as "I am God" and "I am everything"--maybe they had the same power as the Infinite being.
The Beyonder's latest retcon..... Into an Inhuman: 🙄
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The Illuminati meet Beyonder on an asteroid, where he acts very child-like...
Namor [speaking for Blackbolt], precedes to verbally pwn him 😂, then Beyonder disappears:
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The story ends with Beyonder seemingly returning to Earth:
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Beyonder may not be quite as weak as we all think however...
Xavier- "He could have easily made us disappear."
Namor- "I hate dealing with these all-powerful, all-doing, all-seeing things.":

Meh, what can one do?
I can't deny the MC2 Universe is real, so all I can say concerning the LT event is a slight of PIS.
Why?
Well because atleast they had the LT defeating himself essentially, because of Reed,
but even that shouldn't have been.
It contradicts the established canonicity of the character.
(Protoge & MC2) = PIS ... IMO 🙂

It's possible.

But the LT was depicted as a superior to the IG so they weren't "God."
The Seventh Gem makes a difference.
